Great Lakes Institute of Management and IIT, Chicago tie up for MBA in Technopreneurship
Great Lakes Institute of Management is now offering a new highly specialized management programme, MBA in Technopreneurship, in collaboration with Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago, US.
Bala V Balachandran, Founder, Dean & Chairman, Great Lakes Institute of Management said in a release: “Great Lakes is the first B-School in India to have come up with an exclusive programme for Technopreneurship. With IoT and digital advancements in the entrepreneurship space today, programmes such as these will provide its students a global competitive edge.”
Dr. Bala also announced the commencement of 5 year integrated program in Great Lakes International University (GLIU), located in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
The programme’s unique feature will enable the students to not only obtain Certification in Technopreneurship from Great Lakes Institute of Management, but also enroll in IIT, Chicago, USA to obtain a full-fledged, AACSB accredited MBA degree in Technopreneurship for Senior Level Executive.
Key points:
- The programme is all set to commence from mid- August 2017
- Participants spend 4 weekends (spread over Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec) on campus in Chennai & spend between 6-8 weeks (May-June) at IIT, Chicago and take classes
- They will also get opportunities to participate in several industrial visits and meet up with Venture Capitalists, Serial Entrepreneurs and Start-up gurus to foster and exchange ideas
- The total fees of MBA in Technopreneurship is Rs 19,70,000 (plus applicable service taxes
