Know how Bhavneet chose between Science and Commerce stream and made her career. Read more on Shiksha.

It was a tough decision to choose between Science and Commerce stream, where I was convinced with Science since I was good in it while my seniors and parents who had a complete watch on my steps advised me to opt for Commerce and club it with Computer since 21st century is all about being computer savvy! It was a wise decision and it didn’t take long for me to understand these subjects and soon I realised that sales was in my blood. My interest lead me in pursuing MBA in Marketing from Kurukshetra University, and later I started working in Marketing in different fields (Education, BPO, Media, and Real Estate).

I also appeared for TOEFL, IELTS while I was doing BCom and was running my own academy teaching these certifications. Later after coming to Dubai, and after delivering my first child, I completed one year online diploma in Entrepreneurship.

Learning is an ongoing process, and it never goes waste.

It is important to ask yourself where do you see yourself in education and or in career 5 years from now, and at the same time seeking for educational and career counselling to understand what is in store with you especially from those who have a close watch on your skills is important. Learning is an ongoing process, hence it never goes waste so even if you opt for a different stream and end up choosing a career in a different path or changing it down the line because of any reason, you will never repent. Whatever happens, happens for good and we learn at each and every step so why to take it as a mistake and worry!
