XLRI introduces unique management course for school teachers

XLRI - Xavier School of Management, Jameshedpur recently launched a unique certificate course in management exclusively for school teachers. The programme, PG Certificate in Applied Educational Leadership and Management, is being offered in collaboration with Fordham University.
Conceived by CeRTEL (Centre for Research, Training, Education and Leadership), XLRI, it aims at enhancing the effectiveness of the teaching community by improving their support structures. The programme aims to improve in teachers and senior faculty in leadership administration to benefit them in their future role of administrators.
Speaking about the program, Rev Dr Francis Peter, SJ Chairperson, CeRTEL, XLRI, said, “Majority of the principals take over their roles as school administrators without any formal leadership and managerial training. They often only have their teacher diploma, and move on to run their institution.”
This specialized one-year online course has been designed to introduce research & educational practices to the participants that enhance teaching and learning and enable a deeper understanding of the organization.
The program's curriculum includes sustained input, job-embedded activities, collegial discussions, and hands on project and is designed to provide participants with practical educational leadership skills.
The course module spreads across 12 months and is divided into 4 modules and 15 courses. Ten of these courses will be delivered online in D2D (Desktop to Desktop) mode and the remaining 5 in workshop mode at XLRI campus.
The training mode of the programme will follow the Blended Learning format, which includes, lectures workshops and projects by experienced professors of XLRI and other renowned institutes along with faculty from Fordham University, USA.
“This blended learning is designed for those from any of the Boards of Examination who seek to understand and enhance the teaching/learning climate of their staff and students for improved organizational performance, quality, customer satisfaction, effective management and control, and therefore financial stability resulting from managing and developing people well,” Dr. Francis Peter, SJ further added.
Participants would be awarded Diploma on the Annual Graduation Day of the institute and will be given XLRI Alumni status.

XLRI Xavier school of managment XAT cutoff 2026 has been released. The cutoff for overall section was a score of 95 percentile that was minimum requirement for a candidate to be eligible for admissio.

Required XAT score varies every year because the percentile depends on difficulty level of exam and candidate performance. In XAT 2026, overall cutoff for XLRI BM was 94 percentile for Engineering Male and Non-Engineering Male candidates.

Yes. XLRI specifies sectional cutoffs along with overall XAT cutoff. Candidates need to meet required percentile in QADI, VALR and DM for respective programme and category.

For XAT 2026, overall HRM cutoff was 92 percentile for Engineering Male candidates and 90 percentile for Non-Engineering Male candidates. For XAT 2026, overall XLRI BM cutoff was 94 percentile for Engineering Male and Non-Engineering Male candidates. It was 88 percentile for Engineering Female, Engineering Transgender, Non-Engineering Female and Non-Engineering Transgender candidates.
