Best college for enjoying college life.

Placements: On an annual basis, around 15 percent of students get college placements. The maximum placement package is about 5 LPA. Most finance companies approach our college for freshers. The highest position a person can get is as an accountant or an internal auditor.

Faculty: All teachers are from high profiles and are well experienced. Their teaching quality is very good and fantastic. B.Com is quite relevant but not as an individual career option; it helps students build their base in finance and accounting to pursue different degrees similar to this. Well-educated faculty members are available in our college. Well-qualified CAs, CMAs, and CS professionals teach in our college, and they teach us like their own family. Our college provides full practical knowledge to help us get involved in the activities that our faculty teach us.

Other: I am about to pursue CA, that’s why I chose this course as a career option.

Absolutely thrilled and satisfied.

Placements: Since I passed out in the year 2022, there have been no placements held in my college due to the COVID crisis, which in turn left our batch with no package offered or no students either getting any internship or any job offer. This course offers many roles as one can go to different industries booming and kickstarting from learning different software tools like Tally, GST, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is way too commendable. It was full of classrooms, each driving into different types of halls and amenities. Many facilities like canteens, libraries, and laboratories were there for the betterment of the students. Different departments were allocated for Science, commerce, and the arts. The timings for each were maintained separately to reduce the chaos on the college campus.

Faculty: Teaching quality was top-notch in our college. And all professors including the principal were very supportive and helpful. Students can easily go and ask for the notes and lectures whenever necessary. Teachers were almost available every time for students in need. Semester exams on the other hand come very easily for those who learn and prepare for the exam since the course I opted for is one of the most popular courses. All it takes is their hardship and strong will.

Other: The best thing about the course is that one can easily available different opportunities when used wisely and appropriate. One can easily indulge oneself in different kinds of industry as this course in itself offers different skills like tally, GST, etc., which makes students industry-ready.

Balanced learning experience in AJC.

Placements: Acharya Jagdish Chandra Bose College offers limited placements and internships to B.Com students. Companies like TCS and APT visit our college with an average salary package of 2.4 LPA - 3.5 LPA. Internship opportunities are available but are not a significant focus, and many students pursue internships independently.

Infrastructure: We have well-ventilated classrooms suitable for traditional teaching. I would say it has average infrastructure. Labs for science students are decent. There are limited facilities benefiting B.Com students. Wi-Fi is available, but it is very slow. Our college doesn't provide on-campus hostel facilities, but many students rely on private PGs.

Faculty: Our faculty members are experienced and focused on traditional teaching methods, while most professors are approachable and very helpful. Our college follows the guidelines of Calcutta University. The B.Com course includes 6 semesters over 3 years. Exams are conducted twice a year with internal assessments.

Review of Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College.

Placements: Placements are not guaranteed every year. It depends on the facilities provided by the college, marks, and cutoffs of the previous year's exams. A few well-known companies, such as Motilal Oswal, came for placements. Some of the students were selected for the role of accountant.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not very good. Our college provides good facilities. Classrooms should be updated and improved according to the standards of today's generation. Many classrooms have broken and damaged infrastructure. The college is still under construction.

Faculty: Our teachers are average. There is no systematic approach to everything. Additionally, there are no extracurricular activities or festivals organised by the campus. The exams are held by Calcutta University. They are conducted on a semester basis. It is mandatory to clear all exams to complete the course.

Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it. The best thing about this course is that it has the best teachers who are always willing to help and make everything understandable. They should improve their environment and develop their infrastructure. Our college is very safe and clean. The food served in the canteen is affordable.

Our college is good in terms of education.

Placements: Almost 60% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Amazon, Flipkart, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank in India, SBI Bank, HDFC Bank, etc. Almost 60% of students got internships from our course in companies like Amazon and HDFC Bank.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good. Our college provided good facilities. Wi-Fi was available in our college. Our classrooms were good. The library was good, and all books were well-maintained. The food served in the hostel and canteen was good. Medical facilities were available in our college.

Faculty: Our teachers were good, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was average. Our course curriculum was good and made students industry-ready. Semester exams were a bit difficult. The pass percentage was 80%.

Other: I opted for this course because it provides good opportunities in the banking sector. The campus crowd was good. Our college conducts only a few events.

Review of Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College.

Placements: Almost 40% of students get placed here since on-campus placements are not much good. The highest package offered is 20 LPA, and the lowest package is 10 LPA. 30% of students got internships in different companies like Tata Steel, KMPG, Deloitte etc. The top role offered is a managing director.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good, and it is still developing. It is located in an accessible area. This college has many facilities like AC rooms, library, different labs, gaming room, Wi-Fi etc. This college does not have a hostel facility.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and qualified in their work. This course is curriculum-relevant, but it does not fully make students industry-ready. Semester exams are tough. Almost 92% or more get through exams in our college. Our college has good records.

Other: I chose this course because I am interested in finance, and the best thing is that it is diverse and universal. It should improve its practical classes. Our college provides scholarships. Extracurricular activities like sports and entertaining activities are conducted here.

It provides a good college life and placements.

Placements: Many companies come each year for campus selection, and more than half the students who are eligible for the job get selected by the companies. The top recruiters in the college are Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, BT, etc. The average salary offered is 5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college has facilities such as a science lab, classrooms, a library, Wi-Fi, and so on. There is no hostel for students. The college organises an annual sports function every year. The college has a decent canteen for students, which is temporarily closed for an unknown reason.

Faculty: All teachers are very knowledgeable, well qualified, and helpful to students. That's why about 80% of students pass their semester exams. Semester exams are a bit difficult, but any student can pass the exams with a good percentage with regular study of about two to three hours.

Other: I have chosen B.Com (Hons) because I want some knowledge about the workings of the corporate world. If college provides some classes in which businessmen and corporate executives give us some lessons about business, it would boost our enthusiasm and knowledge about the business world.

This is an average college.

Placements: This college offers placements in multiple places like TCS, etc. The average salary package offered was around 3 LPA. The internship percentage is not much, it's around 2-3%. Many students just pass out from our college and do jobs somewhere. They don't rely on college placements.

Infrastructure: The college is very clean. It has Wi-Fi, labs, and a library except for a proper canteen. The rooms are very huge and recently, they have also constructed a new building which looks nice and it's very big. The entire college is secured with CCTV cameras. The college is anti bullying.

Faculty: All teachers in our college are highly educated. They are very helpful. The semester exams are quite difficult but if you have studied properly then it's a piece of cake for you. Sometimes, the teachers try to be strict to keep the students in limit. If you get 5 minutes late, they won't let you in their classes.

Other: The teachers and staff members are very polite and encouraging. But at my time, there was no fresher party so I would like to improve that.

Hi Rahul, Candidates should score minimum 45% in accountancy and 50% in aggregate or minimum 55% in accountancy. Therefore, I think you will admission in the college.
