The Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology is a private institute located in Ernakulam, Kerala. The university has been approved by national bodies such as the AICTE and KTU Research Centre. The university is an affiliate of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) and was founded in 2001, since then it has become the first self-financing technical education centre to be awarded the ISO 9001: 2008 certification.

The Government of Kerala offers scholarships to meritorious and financially weak students. The students of ASIET can check the eligibility for the scholarships and apply for the same. Below mentioned are the ASIET scholarships offered by the Government of Kerala:
KEAM Scholarship for Meritorious Students
- Students with high rank get 100% exemption from the tuition fee as a scholarship
- Students with less than 5000 rank in KEAM to be admitted with Government college fee
- Students with ranks 5000-15000 to be admitted with half the merit seat fee
GATE Scholarship
This is available for candidates with valid GATE score as per AICTE norms for the total period of 24 months subject to the conditions mentioned in the prospectus issued by DTE.
