Experienced college review.
Placements: Sixty to seventy percentage of the students got their placements. It starts from 3 Lacs to 8 Lacs per year. There are many top recruitment companies like Mane Kancor, TCS, etc. 90 percentage of the students attend internships at NEST Cyber Park, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has a great infrastructure. It has a central library for everyone. Also, each department has its own libraries. Each classroom is advanced and contains Wi-Fi accessible to the students. Hostel is arranged near the college building. MS is handled by the students and the staff. Food available in the canteen is of good quality.
Faculty: The faculty appointed for each subject are highly qualified professors. Also, they have an experience of more than 10 years. They are so friendly. Not up to the farthest extent but it actually makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are a bit difficult, as the pass percentage comes between 50 to 70 percentage.
Other: The best thing about the course is that it mainly specializes in hardware jobs. Even in the future with the electric vehicles coming, it's a great opportunity for us. There are many events like national level fests. The campus is so energetic.

College is good for studies but not great for students who wish to enjoy their life with studies.
Placements: I am currently a final year student. According to our seniors, quite a good number of companies are coming for placements. We have a dedicated placement cell that works hard to invite new companies and opportunities for students. The thing that lacks is core company placement because 99% of the companies are from the IT sector. TCS is one of the most prominent recruiters. A lot of stress is not put towards internships. Students have to find an internship on their own.
Infrastructure: We are provided with all the facilities like labs, Wi-Fi, library, etc. We have projectors in classrooms, and there are well-spacious and well-furnished classrooms. Labs and library are open during working hours and are accessible if you have proper reason and HOD's permission. We have 3 boys hostels for first-year students, men's hostel for 2nd year to final year students and girls hostel for all 4 years students. This division in boys hostel is said to be done to keep them away from ragging. Food in the boys' hostel and girls hostel is from the college canteen. It was terrible a year back. We had strikes happening, and now even though they don't get tasty food, they get clean food. When I was in the boys' hostel, the food was very bad, so the students organised the strike. In the hostel during our 2nd year, students who stayed organised their our own food. We hired cooks and had our own timetable. The college would pay at the beginning of the month, and we would share the total cost of equals. It nullified the profit concept and ensured that we had tasty and clean food, according to our will. Our juniors in the college tried to get back the mess in the men's hostel. Juniors accepted, and now final year students have their cooks. Old students run the system, and our juniors have the same boys' hostel canteen food.
Faculty: There are good and bad quality staff members in our department, which is a balanced mixture. On average, there is a good set of the faculty members group. All are well-qualified, and they hold the required certificates. We have a very middle-aged to young staff members, so the atmosphere is very friendly. The curriculum is not industry-friendly, but I think it is not the problem of our college. Our college supports innovation and a lot of startups, and there is a startup incubator in our college. A lot of competitions happen to bring out the innovator in students. The curriculum is old and boring.
Other: I had no course preferences because I wanted to do law. I took the course because, during admission, the principal told me that EEE is tough, and I would not make it, according to my 12th score. The campus atmosphere is great when I joined, but not now because our principal left. He was an excellent person, but after him, a few others came in the course of 2 years. Things are getting a little unnecessarily strict. Our old principal is currently the principal at Muthoot Institute, which is our peer college. We have numerous events, and it is a great campus in that perspective. We have a weak link at sports. There is a strong cricket team, but for other sports teams, the support provided is weak, even though we have teams that participate in the university-level competition. I am the captain of the basketball team.

An awesome college to build your career from.
Placements: The placement cell of ASIET is constituted under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Santharam Rao who provides the right perspective regarding various career options and trains the students to choose and pursue the career options. The college has got a number of companies offering good opportunities to deal with which include IBM, Reliance, Aditya Birla Group, etc.
Infrastructure: ASIET provides hostel facilities for the 1st year and other students separately with wide facilities which include a gym, Wi-Fi, etc. The college buses reach most of the parts of Ernakulam district. The college library consists of a wide variety of books. The college has a 3d printing lab, wide space for parking, boot camp, high-speed Wi-Fi facilities, well-furnished and developed computer labs, etc.
Faculty: ASIET has got the most efficient and well-qualified faculty members to deal with. There are wide varieties of curriculum activities which include IEEE, NSS, etc. which provide extra thinking skills in the students. The facilities give full support to different student-oriented programs. They give maximum support to the projects developed by the students.

Completely good course curriculum and teaching methods, and 100% satisfied with faculty.
Placements: The placements are fine and opportunities are there if we utilise it properly. The problem is that only IT firms are present and no core companies will come. The salaries offered are fine ranging from 2 lakhs to 7 lakhs. Major IT giants like TCS, Infosys and Wipro visit usually, and System Analyst post is mainly offered here.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good but not the best. The classrooms are all fine with proper fan arrangements, lightings etc provided. The medical facilities and labs are fine too, but the library is not as per the requirement. Much importance is also not given to sports and games and that is a serious problem. Till now, food poisoning kind of issues have not been reported, so the food facilities are good too.
Faculty: The faculty members and course curriculum are two major parts of the best things in this college. The faculty members are very well-qualified, very helpful in any situations and knowledgeable too. The teaching methods are simple like anyone can follow easily, but PPTs are not used much. The teaching was very effective, and the course curriculum was the best.
Other: As an alumnus and being a part of MG University, I would recommend this college. But now, it is all KTU. So for now, I cannot say that you can completely rely on this college. Results were much better with MG university than KTU, so it i up to you. It is better to take the advice of the KTU seniors or the current students. I can only tell on behalf of MG university as I was a part of it.

A college with good infrastructure and placements.
Placements: The placements were good for our batch and our seniors' batch. According to my knowledge, the highest salary package offered was 3.3 lakhs by TCS. Companies like UST Global, TCS, Mindtree, Sutherland etc came for the placements. Most of the students were placed with the designation of Assistant Software Engineer.
Infrastructure: The whole college is enabled with Wi-Fi facility, and the labs and classrooms are the best according to me. The library of ASIET has a good number of books and international journals. The quality of labs is good with trained faculty members. The college has separate buildings for mechanical and civil engineering departments. The food in the canteen is good but is not up to the expectations.
Faculty: The college had a good group of experienced faculty members. They were highly qualified, but I am not aware of the student to faculty ratio. We had industrial visits to various power plants and these visits were very useful. The course curriculum was very useful. We also had an internship which had to be done in the company based on our specialisation for at least 15 days. It was very useful and we became aware of the latest technologies and happenings in the field.
