The selection criteria for AITAM BTech is based on the scorecard of JEE Main, Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, Andhra Pradesh ECET. The admission process is completely online. AITAM Placement Cell has collaborated with top recruiters from IT, manufacturing, and service industries. In the 2023 placement drive, companies such as Amazon, Hyundai Motors, Hexaware Technologies, Virtusa, Tech Mahindra, and KRAS recruited actively. In previous years, firms like Atos Syntel, IBM, and HCL Technologies also hired graduates from AIMAT. These recruiters offered roles across domains such as software development, project management, and core engineering functions, etc.

To get admission to AITAM UG & PG courses, candidates must go through a multi-level admission process. The college offers admissions based on several state-level entrance exams for respective courses. There are two ways to get admission to BTech at AITAM. Admissions are both merit and entrance-based. Candidates who passed Class 12 in the relevant stream are eligible to apply for the BTech course. As per the admission process,  a total of 70% seats are offered based on EAMCET exam scores. However, 30% seats are granted through Management quota by the guidelines stipulated by APSCHE, Guntur.
