Q: How can I get into Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology for UG/PG courses? Am I eligible for admission?

Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses: Courses Eligibility B.E. / B.Tech Candidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply. Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile. Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply. M.E./M.Tech Candidate who have completed 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years Diploma + AMIE are also eligible. AMIE candidate must have 2 years regular full time experience in the relevant field.

Enjoying engineering at Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: The placement in our college is not the best but it is good. In my course, 75% of the students were placed. The average package is 5 lacs per annum. The highest package is 8 lacs, and the lowest is 3 lacs. There will be no internships provided by the college. Zoho and TCL were the major recruiters. The top role offered is data scientist at TCL.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is on par with that of many top engineering colleges. It is a green building. There is only one food court for the whole college. According to the specifications of our department, there are well-equipped laboratories with Wi-Fi connections. There are both online and offline libraries. In accordance with the hostel, it is in a developing stage but it is spacious. Hostel food could be a little better. In sports, there is no lack in anything .

Faculty: The teachers in the college were highly qualified, with Ph.D.s and some doctorates. The teachers were very supportive and friendly. Our college is affiliated with Anna University so the syllabus was designed by them. The curriculum gives a brief knowledge of the subjects. But it doesn't make the students industry-ready.

Other: There will be events and fests conducted frequently. The college is not as strict as some colleges .

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty and dissatisfied with the placements in 2023.

Placements: 1. 35 percent of students were placed in our courses. 2. The highest package was 6 LPA. And the lowest package was 3 LPA. 3. TCS and Zoho are the top recruiters for our college. 4. A maximum of 25 percent of students got their internships in Tidelpark. 5. IT employee is the top role offered.

Infrastructure: 1. The facilities are not good at all on our campus and the infrastructure is also not good at all. There are also a lot of lab facilities there. 2. The facilities in our hostel are too bad, especially in our college, where the canteen and the mess food are very bad. And there are no medical facilities.

Faculty: 1. The teachers are very helpful for us; they are providing very useful teaching at all times, and the teaching quality is too good. 2. This course curriculum is more relevant to our courses. And it makes the students industry ready too. 3. Semesters are not difficult at all. The pass percentage is 45%.

Other: 1. I chose this course because of my parents. Through this course, we can get a job easily. 2. There is not a lot of fest conducted by college management .

Good college with helpful teachers, clean campus, basic facilities, and placements need improvement.

Placements: Around 40% of students from my course are placed. The highest package offered is up to 4.5 LPA, with the average package being moderate. Unfortunately, no one got an internship from the course. The top roles offered are programming developer, software engineer, and software trainee.

Infrastructure: The department has all the basic facilities we need, Wi-Fi, decent labs, clean classrooms, and a good library. Everything is well-maintained. Hostel life is comfortable with good facilities, though the food in the mess and canteen is just average. Medical help is available when needed, and there are enough sports and games.

Faculty: The teachers are really supportive and friendly. They explain things clearly and are always there to help if you have doubts. The semester exams aren't too tough if you keep up with classes and put in a bit of effort. Most students pass without much trouble.

Other: I chose B.E. Computer Science and Engineering because I've always been interested in programming, editing, and design. So, this course felt like the right fit for me. One thing I feel could be better is that the number and quality of events and fests need improvement. The campus has a friendly crowd, decent connectivity, and a peaceful environment. There are also opportunities for extracurricular activities and scholarships for eligible students, which is a plus.

IT employee is the top role offered, and if you are eligible, they can pick you as HR also.

Infrastructure: 1. They provide high-quality labs and Wi-Fi. The classroom was average but we have a lot of liberty. 2. The facilities in the hostel are above average but they are providing low-quality food and there are no medical facilities. And they are providing good sports and games.

Faculty: 1. The teachers are very helpful to students; the quality was too good and the teachers are teaching us day and night. 2. Yes, they are preparing us for industry too and it is very helpful for the students. 3. Semester exams are not too difficult, and the pass percent is 45%.

Other: 1. I chose this course to achieve my goal and the best thing about this course is that I can get a job easily. 2. Nothing needs to be improved. 3. They are not conducting more events and tests .

Placements: Around 30% of students got placed in our college. Many students got placed in famous companies like eNaOH, etc. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. Top roles offered are digital marketing, etc.

Infrastructure: The hostel is not suitable during the rainy season. The hostel building is not good. The food served in the hostel is not acceptable. Wi-Fi facility is not available in the hostel.

Faculty: Our faculty members care about our careers. A few teachers don't care about students. They only care about marks. They teach life lessons. I cleared my Maths paper in engineering because of Punitha mam.

Placements: N number of students will placed in multiple companies. The highest package is 10 lac per annum the lowest package is 5 lac per annum In our college will tied up with top most MNC company. Like WIPRO, TCS, HCL, ZOHO, CTS, IBM and etc. Software developer, mechanical engineer, civil engineer.

Infrastructure: In our college will contain many facilities. My college have 4 blocks, 10 computer lab, 3 machanic al lab, 2 electronic lab and 3 drowing room. All computer lab have internet facility and Wi-Fi. My college have 1 library. My college have two hostel. One is boys and another one is girls. My college canteen will be provide very healthy foods.

Faculty: My college teachers are very knowledgeable and very helpful. They are completed teacher ability courses. They are provide good curriculum. They are ver knowledge in syllabus. Their teaching methodology is very special. They know students capabilities.

Other: I compete my Diploma course in civil so I choose civil Engeenering.
