About NALCO

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) is Asia's one of Asia's largest integrated primary producers of aluminium. It is a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines. NALCO was incorporated on 7th January 1981, with its registered office at Bhubaneswar. NALCO is a group ‘A’ CPSE, having integrated and diversified operations in metal, power, and mining. Monthly Salary

The salary for graduate trainees is INR 40,000-3%-1,40,000 during the training period of one year, with a basic pay of INR 40000. In addition to basic pay, candidates will be offered DA, accommodation, medical facilities, etc.

CTC

Approximate CTC will be 8.2 lakhs per annum during the training period and after confirmation is made after working as a trainee for one year to E1 grade, the CTC would be approximately 12.12 lakhs per annum. Candidates will also be entitled to Dearness Allowance under the cafeteria approach such as:

• HRA

• Medical facility for self & dependents and

• Superannuation benefits: Contributory, Provident Fund, Gratuity

NALCO Recruitment through GATE 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Students who are interested in applying for NALCO recruitment must fulfil the eligibility criteria. Some of the criteria are mentioned below:

Nationality: Students must be Indian citizens.

Educational Qualification: Students must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology

• Got a minimum aggregate of 65% (55% aggregate for SC/ST/PWD category) in graduation.

Age limit

• 30 years for the general category

• 35 for SC/ST and 33 for OBC categories

Important Note

• All the qualifications must be from recognised Government Universities or Institutions, UGC recognized Universities or Institutions, UGC recognized Indian deemed Universities or AICTE approved courses.

• If the candidate has been awarded CGPA/OGPA or any letter grade, they must declare the equivalent percentage of marks according to the conditions of the Institute/University in the online application form.

NALCO GATE Selection Process

• Candidates must be medically fit according to NALCO’s pre-employment medical standard.

• Candidates will undergo a medical examination by the NALCO Medical Board.

• The final decision will be made after the medical fitness is approved. Health standards and medical rules will not be relaxed.

• Candidates must have a valid GATE scorecard.

• After all the steps mentioned above, candidates will then be interviewed for the position of Graduate Engineer Trainee.
