SRM College of Physiotherapy Launches 5th Edition “ROM – The Physio Run 2025”
The SRM College of Physiotherapy, SRMIST, will hold the 5th edition of ROM – The Physio Run on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, at 8:00 am, with the opening ceremony at Arichal Munai Beach, Dhanushkodi. This initiative began in 2021 and has grown into a flagship initiative promoting physical health and well-being across India.
This 640-kilometer Physio Run, aligned with World Physiotherapy Day 2025, focuses on the theme “Healthy Ageing.” The run will pass through major cities and SRM campuses, raising awareness about physical health and longevity.
The ceremonial torch will be lit by the ROM Team and carried through SRM Madurai, the SRM Tiruchirappalli Campus, and the SRM Baburayanpettai Campus, concluding at the SRM Kattankulathur Campus.
Chief guests for the event include Thiru Simranjeet Singh Kahlon (District Collector, Ramanathapuram, TN), Captain Arjun Menon (Commanding Officer, INS Parundu), and Commandant Illavarasan (Indian Coast Guard). The event is also supported by esteemed patrons: Dr. Nitin M. Nagarkar (Pro Vice Chancellor, Medicine and Health Sciences, SRMIST), Lt Col (Dr) A. Ravikumar (Advisor), Organising Secretary Mrs. F. Mariyam Faarzana (Associate Professor), and Organising Co-Chairman Dr. T. N. Suresh (Vice Principal, SRMCPT).
The last date to apply for admission to the 2024 academic year at SRM College of Physiotherapy in Chennai was April 22, 2024. Interested students can apply again in next year by the second week of April,2025 being the last dates approximately.
For the admission into the MPT programme offered by SRM College of Physiotherapy the candidates are requested to write the SRM Joint Entrance Examination (SRMJEE). So far, there are no signs that MPT programme in this institution accept scores from other entrance exams. The applicants are therefore advised to always check through the official website or the specific admission office for any changes or new information that might be available through SRM's official webpage.

Usually, there is no direct admission to the College of Physiotherapy, SRM Institute of Science and Technology since there are specific standards and the requirement to fill in an application through them. In the case of the BPT and MPT programs, the candidates are normally supposed to qualify on the basis of merit which enlists requirements implemented for the students and the SRM entrance examination or counseling.
But sometimes, management quota or for the reserved seats may be there but it comes at a higher fee structure as well. In any case, it is advised that the client contacts the particular college admissions office for details about spaces in their classrooms or direct admission opportunities.
Considering the above facts the College of Physiotherapy in SRM Institute of Science and Technology offers 120 BPT seats. After these, he/she has to complete four years of this program, and a six month internship. For this only those students are eligible who have completed their higher secondary with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English as subject.
In most cases, the fee applied for the BPT programme of the SRM College of Physiotherapy is about INR 1200. But for the purposes of this review, it is suggested that you confirm the exact fee with the help of visiting the official website of SRM or inflicting the admission office of this educational institution.

There is an entrance exam conducted by SRM through which you will get admission in MPT courses. Minimum 55% aggregate of marks or a CGPA of 5.5 in qualifying examination is required.
