My experience with my college .
Placements: The students with good percentage were placed in this course. Students with 75% or above are used to getting internships. Currently, there are no companies recruiting for this course. Our college doesn't provide any kind of package; it is a government-aided college .
Infrastructure: The library is good and comfortable but it's small for such a big college. The infrastructure was also good; it was quite peaceful. Classrooms were big for students. The hostel were also good but the food quality was not very nice. And the canteen was too small.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers were qualified and knowledgeable and were also helpful to us in teaching us the course. The course was not exactly curriculum-relevant; it does not make students industry-ready. The semester exams are not very tough not or easy, but the pass percentage maybe 50%.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in learning about English literature. If I were to wish something better about the course was to reduce the syllabus, it would be more like learning for an exam than life.

I would like to recommend to take admission in this college.
Placements: To get a seat in this college, students need to score 85% in HS second year. The highest salary package offered is 1.2 LPA. The lowest salary offered is Rs 20,000 according to some resources. The top recruiter for the English honors course is Professor. Around 95% of students get internships from our course. Lecturers in colleges and universities are the top recruiters for our course.
Infrastructure: In this college, the classroom and library are available. The infrastructure of the hostel is good, but facilities are very minimal like there is no sports ground for the hostelers. The medical facilities are not provided. But the food served is also good. Mess is attached to the hostel, and the canteen is also near the hostel so there is no problem with food.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and experienced. They try their best to help a student in different ways. Almost every student passes the semester exam. Less than 10% of students fail. Teachers advise how to study and how to score good marks. I am satisfied with the teachers.
Other: I want to be a lecturer in any reputed college or university so I joined the department of English. English course can help to improve in different ways.

Amazing faculty and classes, but college life is miserable.
Placements: I am in my second semester, which started on 6th June. I will begin my third semester, that is, the second year of my four-year graduation program (under FYUGP). As of now, I don’t have much knowledge about the placement cell and other things. However, teachers are supportive and helpful in every aspect, which may help us get a good future.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, the college has gained an A+ grade from NAAC. The ambiance and environment around are good, with lots of trees and plants and a small pond full of water lilies. Sitting around the pond during summer feels great. Regarding the hostel, I am a day scholar and have only had the chance to visit the hostel twice, where I felt it was congested and quite weird to stay. However, students living there might provide good and detailed information regarding hostel life.
Faculty: My department’s faculty is amazing. They are highly qualified teachers and have knowledge in each field. I can’t deny the fact that their own college experience and the teaching experience they have gained over the years help us a lot to learn and understand new things effectively. Exams aren’t that difficult, and the practicals are as they should be. Last semester, when we had a practical in Drama, we had the opportunity to prepare our own script and perform an actual 15-minute drama. The activity helped us learn several things, including teamwork and literature knowledge.
Other: Okay, so now about my college life. It is miserable. The fun and excitement it seems to have from the outside is nowhere to be found. There is no real college life. With lots of students all around moving, the loneliness every other person experiences is miserable. If you have friends in college, you’ll have a great college life, but for introverts, it turns into a horror. Though I am an extrovert, I have experienced a lot of loneliness among 30 others. There is no excitement, and you’ll feel better avoiding college instead of attending it. The Hons. Classes are the only best thing about BBC.

It is a good college with affordable fees.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. There are classrooms, labs, and a library. We also use the boys' and girls' common rooms to play games at break time. We have playgrounds and medical facilities. The quality of food in the canteen is good.
Faculty: Our teachers are quite helpful, and they provide us with notes for our exams. The teaching quality is excellent. It makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are difficult. We have a sessional exam and then the final exam in a span of 4 to 5 months. The pass percentage is more than 95%.

Q:   Is it good to pursue BA in English literature?
    A:
Hi Balaji, Once graduated in B. A. (Hons.) English literature, you could do your M.A. or an MBA. There are several higher study options for meritorious graduates in English language and literature, such as journalism and mass communication; management; tourism administration; law; international relations; linguistics; communication management; film editing and direction; visual communication; and library and information science and forms of creative arts like drama and cinema. You can explore the option of doing some specialised post graduate courses for which graduation is needed in the field of media, multimedia, public relations, foreign languages, teaching, social work, finance, retail, design, hospitality, stocks, aviation etc. based on your interests and strengths. If you have a flair for writing, have good communication skills and a reading habit, journalism or mass communication is a good choice. You could also opt for academic careers like teaching and research and particularly training. English language training is a big and growing sector in India with jobs freelance and full-time options as an English language trainer or a voice and accent trainer. English can also help in being a part of call centres, TV, Radio, reporting and also in the advertising industry. You can also work in an embassy. I hope it helps. Please feel free to revert. Wish you luck.
