It is a reputed college, but it needs revision and improvement.
Placements: There are no placements as it's a government college. Although many students have developed the potential to excel in various disciplines. Students are engaged in content writing, freelancing, teaching, etc. Top roles offered after graduation in the course are content writers, authors, teachers, assistant professors, etc.
Infrastructure: Various kinds of facilities are available for students, such as washrooms for both male and female on each floor, Wi-Fi connectivity, an auditorium, properly ventilated and lit classrooms with regular cleaning. The library is still not modernised and lacks digitalization. However, it has a good collection of books. The food quality of the canteen is good and at an affordable price. There are fire safety measures, but the college lacks medical safety measures. Sports and games should be improved. There's a lack of proper sports equipment and encouragement from the college. However, regular sports meets are held.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and supportive. They not only guide students about the curriculum but are also supportive of other aspects. The course curriculum needs revision, and students should be engaged more by regular presentations and seminars. Mid-semester and semester exams are comparatively easy, and one can score good marks.
Other: The college is one of the most reputed colleges of Odisha, adding weight to our resume. I am from the 2021-24 batch of the English department. The course curriculum needs revision, with the inclusion of study tours and creative competitions. Events and fests organised in the college are limited to only department freshers and farewell parties. However, lately, the BJB fest has been held in a grand way. Other than that, the college holds various extracurricular competitions and activities all year. The campus is clean and properly maintained with cyber cafes and wet and dry canteen facilities.
