A good government college in Barrackpore, safe for women, improving well, with great events.
Placements: Many students studying this course almost 40% of students. I don't know about the placements in this course. You have to take government exams if you want to be placed In this subject. I want to get into the teaching line that's the reason why I'm taking this course.
Infrastructure: Facilities are above average for the government college. Many sports activities are here (football, cricket, table tennis, caram etc.). Wi-Fi isn't available, I don't know about the labs. The library was well-maintained and had many books.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable but some teachers don't help. Some teachers are absolutely good they helping students. The course is relevant if the student takes this course seriously and they will do something. Semester exams are a little bit hard.
Other: I want to be a teacher. I can learn Bengal literature and the history of words it's fun for me. I think the course is better and I don't have any suggestions to give. Events and fests are good. The campus crowd is good. All you can find here. Fests are very enjoyable.

Good times I spent in my college.
Placements: The students that were placed in my course did pretty well, with at least 60% securing placements. The internship program is also available, and students with 70% can apply for internships. There are also several companies that hire students.
Infrastructure: There are facilities like a library and computer lab. The classrooms are very big and well-maintained. The infrastructure is also very good. The food in the canteen is pretty good, and medical and sports facilities are available. The college hosts different types of games and sports.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, knowledgeable, and quite experienced. The teaching quality is very good. The students are focused and friendly, and the teachers are also very approachable. The semester exam pass rate is above 60%. The course is interesting, and the curriculum activities are also quite engaging.

I am not satisfied with faculty members.
Placements: Our college offered placements for final year students in Amazon as a customer care service. The campus placements are below average. Our college conducts hardly three placement campaigns.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our course building is located on the riverside road. Our college provides all useful facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, a library, etc. There is no hostel in our college. The food served in the cafeteria is average.
Faculty: Some teachers are great. Most of them are not much good. They have the attitude of a dictator. All courses are very old. They won't prepare you for the real world. The course includes theory. Semester papers come from West Bengal State University and are not much difficult. The checking of papers is very difficult. Sometimes they will fail you intentionally if you have some tension with any of your subject teachers or make you study for 1 more semester.
Other: There are around 2,000 in our college.

Overall, it is a good college. It got a "college excellence" award from the government.
Placements: A huge number of students were placed in our course. The highest package was Rs. 50,000 per month as a teacher in a private primary school. Companies like TCS and Wipro have also recruited students. About 70% of students got internships from the companies that came for hiring.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are huge and even the teacher can be audible from the last bench. The library is well maintained. The librarians also check out students, and the book issue registers very well. The canteen provides good food.
Faculty: Faculty members in our course are the best. They are good. They are always helpful and approachable. They make students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite difficult, but teachers make it easy for us to complete the syllabus. The course is remarkable.
Other: The college provides good cultural and functional events and fests. It provides scholarships. The campus is good. Being literature students, having a campus that is so close to nature is good.

Placements: Every year many companies come for offering jobs. College provides nice placements.
Infrastructure: Hostels are limited and not so good. There is free Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Exams are conducted timely. College has good teachers. The curriculum maintained is helpful.
Other: College campus is very beautiful.

It is a familiar college for everyone.
Placements: The college is good. It provides placements, but it is very rare. The placement cell department will provide you with a good salary package. You can learn graphic designing and communicative English from the cell department. You can improve your skill, and the college will help you find your interest.
Infrastructure: The college has a special respect for the sports quota. The canteens are neat and clean. Two types of libraries are available in the college, and one of them is the e-library, which is good. Free Wi-Fi is available on the campus. It has hostels for boys and girls, but it is a little bit far.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified. They will treat you as your friend. You will be praised by them if you have an interest in curriculum activities. The college has both NCC and NSS programs. Seniors of the students union are very helpful, especially for freshers.
Other: The college is well-known for its festival. Our principal is friendly. I love the college. The best part is the college is improving day by day because of our principal Monojit Roy.

Our college and infrastructure are good, but placements are not that good.
Placements: An average of 30% of the students got placed in our course. The highest salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 12,000 per month. Internshala is the top recruiting company of our college. An average of 10% of the students got internships from our college. Top roles are not offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good. Classrooms are also good and big, but Wi-Fi is not available. A library is available for students, but labs are not available for our course. There are no hostels in our college. The canteen is available, and the food is also good. A playground is also available here.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but some of them are very rude. They are also well-qualified and knowledgeable, but they act very rudely to us. Their teaching quality is not that good. This course curriculum is not relevant, and it does not make us industry-ready.
Other: About two fests are conducted in a year. The campus is very much crowded.

I am satisfied with faculty, moderate placements in 2019, and average infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Approximately 35% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 4,000 per month and the average salary offered was Rs. 7,000 per month. Top recruiting companies visited campus was Amazon and Concentrix. Top roles offered are customer care executive, back office executive, and office assistant etc. I don't have an idea about the salary package offered in our course. About 50% of students got the opportunity of internship from our course in companies like Amazon and Concentrix.
Infrastructure: In our college, Wi-Fi connectivity is okay, but not so good. Labs and library are top-notch as compared to other infrastructures. Classrooms are not that much clean, but students can adjust anyhow. Hostels are congested. The quality of the food is not like homemade food, but students have to compromise with that anyhow. Other facilities like rooms, medical facilities, sports and game are average. Overall, it was not a good experience with the hostel facility.
Faculty: The teaching quality was awesome, and they were really helpful, at least in my case. Whenever I had any doubt, I directly went to teachers, and I got the necessary assistance. Overall, the teaching quality was effective. This course curriculum is not that much relevant. I did it for my interest, and it doesn't prepare the students' industry-ready from any perspective.
Other: I have chosen this course because my mother tongue is Bengali and I love to know about Bengali meticulously. The best things available are good teachers, excellent learning syllabus, and most importantly, it's one of the most interesting subjects. It would be better if the pattern of exam question papers can be changed a little bit. Quiz events, many seminars on different issues, awareness campaigns are organised in the college frequently.
