It is a tier 3 college with average facilities.
Placements: Around 30-40% of students get placements on campus. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 13 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. TISCO is the top company that visits our college. Around 25% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good but mess facilities are not so good. Also, there is problem with Wi-Fi facilities, and internet speed is too slow. There are three computer labs out of which two labs are of good quality while many systems of the third lab are not running properly.
Faculty: Teachers are all qualified with good teaching experience. They are knowledgeable and helpful to the students. Also, some faculty members have different mother tongue which I find difficult to understand. The mid-semester examination is easy and is conducted by this college. The end semester exam is little bit harder than mid as it is conducted by BEU, Patna.

Best state engineering college in Bihar with good placement opportunities if you focus on academics.
Placements: In my college, about 50 percent of students are placed with a median package of 3 LPA. The maximum package is 15 LPA. Companies like TCS and L&T visit our campus. I think students do not get internships here. Most students opt for GATE preparation. Students secure jobs in developed fields.
Infrastructure: As you know, my college was established in 1960, so all the lab equipment is old and the lab infrastructure is not very good. The 1st and 2nd-year hostel is quite good, at an IIT level, built in 2020. However, the 3rd and 4th-year hostels are of low quality with 3-seater rooms. The mess quality is decent, and they serve food at our tables.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful and M.Sc. qualified, while others teach with average quality; some seem dull. The teaching quality is average. You often have to study from YouTube. Semesters are not tough if you study, but they are always late. The curriculum is not hectic.
Other: I chose this course because it is the top state engineering college in my state. The fees are minimal; you can complete your entire B.Tech for 3 to 4 LPA. The campus is clean and not overly crowded. Festivals aren't organized much due to student morale; only Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated. Wi-Fi is everywhere on campus but doesn't work well.

Average placements with average infrastructure.
Placements: At least 50% students get placed from every batch in on and off campus placements. The highest package offered is 12 lacs and the lowest is 4 lacs with an average package of 6 Lacs per year. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Ultratech, etc. Less than 50% students are offered internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good but many equipments in the labs are provided by the college. Hostel provided for the first and second year students is awesome having Wi-Fi facilities. Mess food is good. Medical facilities are provided by the college. Annual sports are organized every year in the campus.
Faculty: Faculty of the college is good. All the teachers are M.Tech or Ph.D. qualified. They help in clearing doubts and with project works. Faculty is very friendly with the students. Semester questions are more difficult than the other colleges. 75% attendance is required to fill the examination form. Passing score is 5 CGPA overall in a year.
Other: I chose the ECE branch because I have an interest in the communication and networking field. Fest are organized by the college.

I do not recommend students to join this college.
Placements: Placements are not provided with more than 4.5 LPA on campus. The majority of students don't go for placements. Placements are very difficult for CSE students.
Infrastructure: Hostels provided for 1st and 2nd-year students are good but all other buildings are very poor including academics and departments. Students can't go to the field because there are restrictions from seniors. Flood is a very big problem on this campus.
Faculty: Some faculty members in our college are good. They prefer their caste students but will help students if they are not involved in the politics of caste. They help with GATE exams and placements. Faculty members are humble and down to earth.
Other: It is not a ragging-free college. Caste is a very violent topic on campus.

The best college in Bihar.
Placements: 80 to 100 percent students have been placed from my ECE branch. The minimum package is 5 LPA and the maximum package is 30 LPA. The top recruiting companies in my college are Wipro, TCS, Infosys and HCL. Almost 80% students got internship from ECE branch. Top roles in my college are SDE, web developer, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities in my college regarding infrastructure are the best and well maintained. Wi-Fi facility is available for 12 hours a day. The facilities in my hostel are well maintained. Mess facility is there inside the hostel. Wi-Fi facility is available for 24 hours.
Faculty: The faculty members are very polite and they are very helpful. Their nature is very good. They have done their M.Tech from IITs and NITs. The course is curriculum relevant and it makes students ready for the industry. The semester exams are not too hard. You can clear them within 1 month.

It is the top engineering in Bihar with a good campus and placements.
Placements: Almost 60% of the students get placed and from the rest, some go for higher studies and some prefer government jobs. Top recruiting companies are HCL, Wipro, Prism, etc. The highest salary package offered this year was around 15 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 4 LPA - 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not that good. It has very old labs and the equipment is also old but is in working conditions. In the first year, boys don't get a hostel. You can get it from the 2nd year onwards, and the hostel is almost fine though the buildings are old, it's fine to live. Mess facilities are also good, and you will get good quality food.
Faculty: Teachers here are very qualified, helpful, and friendly. Most of them are IIT graduates. ECE branch has a great opportunity, and its pass-outs are doing well. Some of them clear the GATE exam, some get governments jobs and some are working in ISRO, and DRDO as well. Exams are not that difficult if you study you will pass them easily. Almost 90% of the students pass it.
Other: I chose this course because it has more scope. You can either go for the IT sector or industry. It would be better if they focus on programming more. Every year, a freshers party is held, and often industry experts do visit here for some functions. You can get a credit card scheme here and take a loan to pay the fees. This college is beside smart city Bhagalpur so it's peaceful and also it is near the bank of the Ganga river. Canteen, bank, and stationery shop are available on campus. You can also join NCChere.

Review of Bhagalpur College of Engineering.
Placements: It is the best college among state-funded colleges, and BCE is top among others. Placements at BCE are not up to the level. It is because the TPO of our college is very careless, and they even don't reach any recruiters. The most important factor is the students' mentality in Bihar that they want to do only government jobs. Besides all these facts, almost all the students get settled within 2 to 3 years of graduation. Mostly, on-campus recruiters are Wipro, TCS, Prism Cement, ACC Cement, and few startups came to our college in 2020. The average salary package offered is 2.5 to 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA to an ECE student in R&D. Our college has collaborated with PSUs such as NTPC, BHEL, BSNL and Indian Oil for internships and training. IIEST Shibpur is a mentor college, so we have our 3rd and 4th-year internships here also, but they are not paid internships. Students who develop skills in the field of their choice can surely get placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is the best. We have all sorts of sports facilities like badminton, volleyball, table tennis and a cricket stadium. The central library of our college is well-equipped with books of all famous writers and research scholars. The library has high-speed broadband, and we use it after the class to download all kinds of things at a very high speed. Labs of all departments are well-equipped with instruments, but maintenance is not up to the level by lab boys.
Faculty: Almost all the teachers are from IITs or IISC, so in terms of knowledge, they are far away from our thoughts. Most of them are below the age of 40, so we don't hesitate to share any of our problems with them. The most interesting thing is that if we chat with them, they just call us directly and solve all our queries without any limitations that they are professors. We have a team of the best teachers. The teaching quality is also up to the level, but due to unnecessary syllabus, more emphasis is on theory than practical. It is the major issue of almost all the tech colleges in India. We are taught in a manner to make us industry-ready.
Other: After not getting admission into the institute of national importance, I was very upset that my life is ruined now. I got admission here. I was interested in CSE, but I had chosen ECE because it is the only branch through which we can move to either technical, hardware, or to PSUs and can also apply for IES. We have different kinds of scholarships available. The most important is a 3.5 lacs scholarship for Bihar president students without any interest till we get a job. Others are provided by the central government through the NSP portal. We have all sorts of amenities required by top B.Tech colleges. We have our annual fest named Technoriti, which is held in February, and it is the best cultural fest among all colleges in Bihar except IIT Patna. We also have our coding club, Robotics and dramatic club.

The college is very good for candidates who want to qualify for the GATE examination.
Placements: Recently placements have started, but the placement cell is not that active. Our college is good for studying. This year more than 100 out of 350 students have qualified GATE. Off-campus students got placed well, but campus placements are bad. Placements here are not satisfactory.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available provided by Jio Telecom. Laboratories are good as it is under central government TQIP companion. They have funded money, so a good collection of equipment is available here to do. Labs are satisfactory. The hostel is good at its cost, but very low facilities are available.
Faculty: A good and highly qualified professor team teaches well, so approximately a quarter of students qualifies for GATE every year. This year for GATE 4 students from CSE are from here and also studied mechanical engineering from the college. Lots of students are in a good position.
