The candidate should have high scholastic presence and aptitude for research. The aspirant should have enough self-motivation to withstand the rigour of the programme.

The selection process of FPM at BIMTECH will contain of presentation (offline/online) by the candidates on their research proposal, then followed by interviews. Based on the final scores, the aspirants merit list is prepared; according to which offers for admissions are made.

It is not necessary to have work experience to apply for MBA or FPM courses at BIMTECH. Aspirants citing work experience need to have an appointment ketter and a recent pay slip as a proof. 

Candidates are selected based on two parts. The first part is the Merit, and the second is the Supernumerary. A total of 5% seats are reserved for the ESCS will be open for the general category if not filled by the ESCS category.

The institute offers good placements annually to its PGDM courses. As per the latest report, the highest package offered during BIMTECH placements 2025 was INR 22 LPA. Further, the average package offered stood at INR 11 LPA.

Candidates can apply for MBA course at BIMTECH if they have scored 65% in graduation. Aspirants must complete graduation with a minimum agggregate of 50% to apply for MBA. However, selection to the course is done on the basis of score obtained by the applicants in entrance tests plus PI and Extempore rounds conducted by the institue.

For admission to BIMTECH, 35% weightage is aligned to entrance exam cutoff for Merit/ ESCS/ International Students Category students. However, for NRI/ Sponsored/ Supernumerary seats, these entrance exam scores are not considered for admission. BIMTECH admission to MBA course is based on either of CAT/ XAT/ CMAT and GMAT percentile.
