I joined Rice College in the year 2024 in the month of September, and I like the college so much.
Placements: We have a placement cell in our college that looks into the placements. The top recruiters are Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and Emphasis. The highest annual package is 19 LPA, and the lowest is 3.7 LPA. Also, the college provides internships in many companies such as Barclays, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc.
Infrastructure: We have many facilities in the college hostel, such as Wi-Fi and proper bedding. There are no restrictions in the hostel, such as sleeping at 11:00 PM, etc. The food in the hostel is very tasty and hygienic, I think, rather than going to any restaurant.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified, and the teaching quality of the teachers is very good. The teachers help us with any doubts regarding the curriculum. They help us before exams also. Whenever we ask the teachers doubts, they don’t get frustrated; they answer and solve the doubts.
Other: I have chosen a Bachelor of Business Administration and Computer Applications. The best thing about our course is learning coding. The best thing I think that can be improved in our college is the 75% attendance. There are many extracurricular activities for gaining knowledge.

I am dissatisfied with the overall facilities.
Placements: This year there are no placements. Only internships are available. Mostly, finance companies visit the college. Not much exposure is given to computer department students.
Infrastructure: Our college has labs with some well-functioning computers, an average library and a below-average canteen. There is no Wi-Fi for students except in the computer labs. Hostel facilities are available only for girls, but the hostel food is not good. The sports department is available here.
Faculty: Some teachers are knowledgeable, but they don't know how to convey it to students. The course curriculum is very good, but because of the teachers, students are not much industry-ready. Exams are easy. However, we didn't get the chance to appear for semester exams because of covid.

Faculty members are good, but sports facilities are not there.
Placements: I don't have an idea about others who got placed in companies or firms, but roughly it can be 30-40%. Companies like Infosys and other telecommunication companies come to our college. Internship percentage is quite low compared to the job placement ratio.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure, like the library and computer lab, is amazing, especially the library. It's next level; I spend my free time there reading books and playing chess. Wi-Fi is available for students at the moment, but maybe in the next month, they'll give us the passwords.
Faculty: Teachers here are quite amazing and supportive. They help us in our difficult times and assist us in cracking our exams by giving hints about the paper pattern. Semester exams are not too hard but not too easy either. They are moderately difficult.

Good campus and decent faculty.
Placements: There are no packages and no placements. Internships are not available.
Infrastructure: It's good, but there is no good Wi-Fi. Classrooms are okay, but there is no internet connection. The library is fine. The canteen is good. Sports are good for the boys. I don't know about the hostels. The canteen food is good. We also have a coffee center. It's a big place, the canteen is a huge area.
Faculty: Exams are good, the teaching is fine, you mostly need to study on your own. We also have seminars.
Other: There are a lot of events in which you can participate. There are events related to your course. There are dance, singing, and sports-related events.

I am satisfied because of the faculty members.
Placements: Due to covid, no student got placed in my batch, but from the previous batch, students got placements. The average package offered is between 3 to 5 LPA. Mostly, the top recruiting companies are Infosys, etc. From the previous batch, most of the students got placed. The top roles offered were software developer, technical support, etc.
Infrastructure: All the reliable facilities and infrastructure are available in my department. The hostel is beside the college itself, and the food quality is good. The college has a clean and well-maintained canteen. Medical facilities are available in college. Sports, games, and events are held regularly.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is the best. The course is quite relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that tough. It depends on how students prepare for exams, and the pass percentage is as per the university norms.
Other: Students in our batch were great. The best thing about our course is that students can make a good career in IT. Everything is good in my opinion. There is no need to improve anything. Events are held regularly. The campus crowd is amazing. Scholarships are provided to students. Extracurricular activities are also conducted in our college.
