I had the best college life, and it gave me a lot of memories.
Placements: Our college offers only bachelor science in agriculture, i.e., B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons). All the students over there are in the same course. The highest package offered in our course is around 7 Lacs per annum, and the average package is around 5 LPA, and the lowest package is about 3 to 4 Lacs per annum. Recruiting companies include agriculture-based companies like SEED fertilizer, organic products, etc., companies like Syngenta, Bayer etc. About 60% of students got internships in companies like WAAF Enterprises, which guides the students towards their goal as entrepreneurs. The top role offered in this course is working in a rural area for 6 months and the programme named RAWE. Under this programme, we are allotted different villages batch wise, and we interact with local farmers, and we train them to do modern agriculture with more benefits.
Infrastructure: The college has the best building with the best infrastructure. The college infrastructure is according to ICAR norms. There are different labs for different departments. We have the best college library with all the required agriculture-course related books as well as daily newspapers. The classrooms are huge and have big green boards and a projector and screen. The benches are very good and smooth. There is no hostel for our college because it was in a rural area that means the students' needs are not fulfilled there. So we used to stay in Aundha Nagnath which was 4km from our college. We need to travel daily. We used to stay in private hostels with the best rooms and quality food at affordable prices. We have a kho-kho ground, volleyball ground, Kabaddi ground and a garden for relaxation.
Faculty: The college has the best faculty members. All the lecturers are PhD holders in their respective departments. As our course is Agriculture B.Sc., we used to do lots of practical work, like visiting the fields. The campus has 200-acres of land. The teaching quality is good, and the lecturers teach the students in a practical manner to make them understand well. Semester exams are tough, so we have to prepare well to clear all the subjects. In each subject, we should score 50% to pass.
Other: The campus has good greenery because it's an agriculture college. I chose this course because it has wide opportunities in many companies such as SEED companies, fertilizer companies, banking as an AFO, government sector as an agriculture officer etc. The students will get two types of scholarships, fee reimbursement and hostel purposes. Events and fests are conducted to cheer the newcomers to the college.

Q:   Can I become an Agricultural Entrepreneur after B.Sc Agriculture?
    A:

Of course, Agriculture and allied sector not only remained insulated from economic slowdown or pandemic but has registered better growth than other sectors. Other industries have faced the problem of downsizing during a pandemic but the agriculture sector remained aloof from lay-offs, pay cuts and forced resignations. There will never be a downturn or slow down when it comes to feeding the world population.
