How MHT CET result 2022 will be calculated?

The MHT CET 2022 entrance examination will be conducted in multiple shifts on different days which brings out the possibility of differences in the difficulty level of the question paper sets. Some of the candidates may have taken a relatively tougher set of MHT CET 2022 question papers whereas some have taken the easier ones. It leads to an obvious conclusion that the candidates who appeared in a tougher set of question papers will score lesser marks compared to the ones who attempted the easier set.

To ensure that candidates are neither benefitted nor disadvantaged due to the difficulty level of the question paper sets, the Normalization method is used in calculating the MHT CET 2022 result. A similar method of calculating marks is also employed in several other major entrance examinations such as JEE Main. The MHT CET 2022 score will thus be a normalized score and will be prepared on the basis of the candidate's normalization formula given below.

The exam conducting authorities will prepare percentile scores of candidates based on their relative performance in the MHT CET 2022 entrance exam. The marks secured by the candidates will be transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0. The percentile scores will reflect the percentage of candidates who have scored less than that particular score in the examination. The percentile score will be calculated up to 5 decimal points to minimum ties. With the help of the following formula, the Percentile Score of the candidate will be calculated.
