A dream university of many, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Placements: Half of my class has been placed with or above the package of 3.5 LPA. There are about 30 students in my class. The lowest package offered in our course is 3 LPA, and the highest till now has been 9 LPA. Many industries keep collaborating with the department, and a number of students get placed every year. Roles offered in private companies are accountants, clerks, etc.
Infrastructure: Our department is very well-furnished, and the infrastructure is very good. There are ACs in every class to bear the heat of Chandigarh. High-speed Wi-Fi is available for students. There is a separate library for every department in the university, with a common and huge library named AC Joshi. The hostel rooms are a little confined, but there are separate almirahs for every student with separate study tables. The hostel food doesn't even feel like hostel food, and it nearly feels like home-made food. The food is also affordable. There are numerous sports activities.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated. Not only the bookish language but they have the knowledge of the outside world also. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult. One can clear if they have an understanding of lessons.
Other: I wanted to become a professor in economics because this is my favorite subject, so I chose this subject. There are numerous curricular activities at the university, and PU is always full of a good crowd as it is the favorite place of everybody. Scholarships are also provided to students, and they just need to do some formalities. The tuition fee is reverted back to students.

The Life of Students in Panjab University
Placements: As a B.Com student:
About 85% of us got placed. The highest salary package is ₹10 Lacs per year, the lowest is ₹3 Lacs per year, and the average is ₹5.5 Lacs per year. Top companies hiring include Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young (EY), and HDFC Bank. Around 70% of students found internships with companies like ICICI Bank, Infosys, and TCS. Popular job roles include Financial Analyst, Accounts Executive, and Marketing Executive.
Infrastructure: Panjab University campus features up-to-date classrooms, labs, libraries, and dorms. It also offers sports facilities, a health center, cultural centers, and lots of green space, creating a lively and supportive environment for learning and research. The furniture and fans are in very good condition.
Faculty: All faculty members at Panjab University are well-educated, experienced, and qualified. They are very humble and supportive, guiding students through every problem they face. The teachers are easily available for discussions. The difficulty level of exams is moderate.
Other: Campus life at Panjab University is amazing, with many social gatherings and events such as Star Night and Goonj organized by different parties in collaboration with the university authority.

In the end, I can say that the department is well enough to help with your graduation.
Placements: There is no placement cell in the Department of Evening Studies, Panjab University Chandigarh, so students have to struggle for placements. There is no opportunity to avail of placements from any companies through the college. Students have to apply individually for off-campus placements.
Infrastructure:
The infrastructure is very old but manageable. There is no hostel facility for boys in both B.A. and B.Com. Only girls get hostels, and the seats for them are very limited. The location of the department on campus is amazing because everything is available nearby.
Faculty: Faculty members are amazing. They make studying enjoyable as well as educational. They are very friendly. The syllabus is not that tough, and you can enjoy your university life as well. You will never regret being admitted to this university. Faculty is also good.

The university gives us a good environment to build our personalities and confidence.
Placements: Our college has no placements. The average salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month to Rs. 20,000 per month. It offers you a good environment to build yourself through extracurricular activities. If you want a good placement, I will recommend you take admission to a private college or university.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good infrastructure. Each department has its library and Wi-Fi. Our classrooms are well-furnished and airy. Hostel facilities are provided only to a few students of the evening department, but the mess is open to all. It provides hygienic and tasty food. The university has its dispensary, which is free for all university students. The university is performing well in sports activities too.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Students must pay attention to class and listen to their teachers. The student-teacher bonding is good in class. Exams are not difficult, but it is up to the student to perform well.
Other: B. Com. is a course that helps us learn the basics of CA and other accounting fields. The university organises many events and functions every year. Scholarships are available, but the average student has very little chance of receiving one. The campus is excellent.

I am not satisfied with faculty members.
Placements: Around 60-80% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary offered is Rs. Rs 60,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good and well-furnished facilities and infrastructure for our course. Free Wi-Fi is available in our college. Each department has its library. Hostels are good but provide only to a few students. The food served in the mess and canteen is commendable.
Faculty: Teachers in our course are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They teach us very well. They are fast, so you need to be more attentive and listen to them carefully. Semester exams are not much difficult. It is easy to pass if you study well.
Other: I don't recommend our course for placements. You should take admission to private colleges for better placement facilities. I opted for this course because of my interest in accounting and finance. Our college should improve B.Com placements.

Panjab University Chandigarh is the best university to get admission and study any course.
Placements: Around 40- 60% of students got placed in our course. The highest package offered is Rs.54,000 per month, and the lowest package offered is Rs.32,000 per month. The top roles offered are Accountant and sales manager. Our course is professional and well-developed, and our course is named Bachelor of commerce which provides you knowledge theoretically as well as practically in life.
Infrastructure: Our university department's infrastructure is good and in well-furnished condition. Our department contains a vast library where every book is there to read. The food provided in the mess of the hostel is excellent, tasty, and healthy.
Faculty: Teachers for our course are well educated, qualified, and very helpful to every student. The course curriculum is relevant to our practical life and is very helpful in the daily routine of every person. Not so difficult as every aspect is understandable, and the pass percentage is 100%.
