It is a poor college for undergraduate courses.
Placements: Placements in our college were poor. None of the major companies visited the campus for placements. Most of the students go unplaced. Placements were only offered to the engineering students and that too only for the computer science engineering branch. Placement opportunities were provided through pool campus drives.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, but it needs maintenance. Classrooms need to be improved. Moreover, the college is in dire need of an IT infrastructure. The quality of the food served in the mess and canteen is pathetic, and it also lacks in hygiene.
Faculty: Faculty members are allotted to each subject and course, but classes are not conducted regularly due to several reasons. The course curriculum needs to be improved as it doesn't provide any industry-ready skills. The focus is on students just get passed out of college. They are not making them industry ready and job competent.

Overall, the college is a good place to study.
Placements: Placements in our college are good. Students with good knowledge are placed in good companies with good salaries. Mostly companies with marketing workforce visit our college. Our senior batch students have been placed in good companies. The average package offered is around 2-3 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. The campus is provided with good infrastructure, and the new building is maintained nicely by the college maintenance members. The campus is provided with Wi-Fi facility, and many inter-college matches and sports are organised in the college campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are quite helpful. They provide all the knowledge required to students. Teachers are well-qualified and educated. They use modern education methods to teach students like projectors and all. Students are also given industry exposure.
Other: Many events and fests are held in the campus, and many sports tournaments are also held. Scholarships are probably provided to the needy students.

Best college for biotech in up.
Placements:
I joined college in 2025 through CUET. The batch I have joined is an integrated B.Sc+M.Sc in biotechnology, which is a 5-year research-oriented course. Many pass-outs prefer to go for higher studies, but others are choosing to sit in placements. Our department has a placement cell, and many companies like Cipla, Sun Pharma, and others come to recruit pass-outs. The lowest package offered is around 2.5 LPA, the average pay is around 4 LPA, and the highest package was 7 LPA. 35% of students have internships in the research wing of Anand Dairy and pharma companies.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure is very good at CSJMU. It is located in the heart of Kanpur, near IIT Kanpur, and has good connectivity through road and metro. It has a metro station (Vishwavidyala) outside of GATE. CSJMU has a large campus sizeof over 200 acres with facilities like a canteen, swimming pool, gym, auditorium, labs, park, and individual administrative buildings for different departments. Hostel facilities are also available, including a mess with 24/7 electricity and Wi-Fi connectivity, along with an emergency ambulance service. CSJMU is a ragging-free campus.
Faculty: The faculty are well-qualified and helpful people. The curriculum is updated with new advancements in this field as guided by the Ministry of Higher Education. Questions in semester exams are quite average, and the minimum qualifying percentage is 33.5. The college will not make you industry-ready.
Other: Biotech is a developing field in India with less crowd and more opportunities, and in foreign countries, it is booming as one of the highest-paying fields. The best thing about this course is that you get a chance to study both technology and Biology. It can be improved if the demand for and supply of play and demand get high in the market, and the government should encourage and fund its development. No such events are happening here as in other universities, but we have cultural shows and fresher and farewell parties every year. The campus is overall good and clean. Scholarships are available on a merit basis, need-based, and for female candidates around October.
