Some medical field which offer best work and life balance are shown below -
Dentistry (BDS & MDS) – Fixed clinic hours, fewer emergencies.
Pharmacy (BPharm & MPharm) – Less stress compared to hospital-based jobs.
Physiotherapy (BPT & MPT) – Flexible working hours, minimal emergency calls.
Public Health & Community Medicine – Focus on preventive healthcare rather than emergency treatments.
Clinical Research & Medical Writing – Research-based work with no direct patient responsibilities.
No candidates cannot become a doctor if they have done only BSc Nursing. But they can apply for MBBS after BSc Nursing if they really want to become a doctor.
For MBBS, they will have to sit for NEET UG and also pass it. And that is how after pursuing MBBS, they can become a doctor.
There is no direct way of becoming a doctor after only BSc Nursing.
Of course, here are some of my personal recommendations, you must read apart from your regular BSc Nursing syllabus:
- Fundamentals of Nursing" by Patricia Potter & Anne Perry.
- Ross and Wilson Anatomy and Physiology in Health and Illness.
- Clinical Nursing Procedures: Art of Nursing Practice.
- Nursing Diagnosis Handbook: A Guide to Planning Care.
- RNotes: Nurse's Clinical Pocket Guide.
- When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi.
- Shift: One Nurse, Twelve Hours, Four Patients' Lives by Theresa Brown.
- First Year Nurse: Wisdom, Warnings, and What I Wish I'd Known My First 100 Days on Job.
Note: Info is taken from other sources and can be different.
Hope this helped your query! All the best!
