I had a great experience.
Placements: In my department of B.Sc. (Geography) we had around 27 student in our batch. There is no such type of placement opportunity given to the students. There is no recruiting companies for my course in my college. We don't get internship but degree Certificate only. There was no such role offered to us.
Infrastructure: Our department infrastructure was poor during our batch and the celling of our class was about to fall down anytime. We have college library and labs for other Science related subject. The quality was average;canteen food was good ; no medical facilities in the college; has a field for sports and games.
Faculty: Yes, teachers were helpful as they were well qualified and knowledgeable person. The teaching method for most of the time was lecture method and sometimes activity and demonstration as well. Yes, the course is relevant and makes the student industry ready as some companies might need a geographer to set up his company or start cultivating. Difficulty level Semester exam were of above average level. The pass percentage is 95?
Other: I chose this course to gain some knowledge and experience of the subject. The best thing about this course is that it not just remain as a qualification but also I comes handy in real life too. I wished the classroom infrastructure and the use of ict was improved in the class so that we could compete or get the same level of knowledge like that of other countries. There are events like freshers party, cultural rally;campus surrounding is good, away from the crowd and amidst the nature; provides scholarship as well.
