Good Infrastructure, but Some Areas Need Improvement, Like Hostels, Classrooms, and Cleanliness.
Placements: Currently, I am a student at this college, with my session being 2023-25. The infrastructure is good, and every student gets an internship here. However, the internship is completely free (stipendless). It's a part of the course meant only for experience, and the marks from this internship are added to our internal exam.
Infrastructure: DIET Sonpur has a well-managed campus with large classrooms and ample space, but cleanliness is an area that needs improvement. One of the major drawbacks is the lack of hostels for students, as these are allocated to BPSC teacher trainees instead. Mess services are provided only for them.
Faculty: The staff is generally good, and the lecturers teach well, though some— including the principal—have a reputation for being rude. This unfortunately affected our entire batch, as we were not allowed to fill out the scholarship forms, resulting in the loss of that opportunity. However, some lecturers are kind and polite. Physical presence is highly emphasized here, and poor attendance can lead to several issues, such as trouble with form filling, registration, and even obtaining admit cards.
Other: I chose this course because my father wants me to be a teacher. I am not a graduate, so I decided to pursue this course. Many cultural and academic events are organized, including celebrations for Hindi Day, National Space Day, and Teacher's Day. However, despite the positive aspects, more classrooms are needed to accommodate the growing number of students.

    Students also asked

    Q:   Which courses can I do after a D.Ed.? Should I do a BSc or B.Ed?
    A:

The best choice depends on your career aspirations:

    ·       If you want to become a teacher: Opt for a B.Ed. It's the mandatory qualification for teaching in most schools.

    ·       If you want to pursue a career in research or a science-related field: A BSc would be more suitable. It provides a strong foundation for further studies and specialised careers.

    ·       If you're unsure: Consider your interests and skills. Do you enjoy teaching and interacting with students? Or are you more drawn to scientific exploration and research?

    Additional options:

    ·       M.Ed.: If you already have a B.Ed., you can pursue a Master of Education for career advancement or specialisation in a particular teaching area.

    ·       Diploma courses: Various specialised Diploma courses in education or related fields can enhance your skills and knowledge.
