It is a good polytechnic college in Durgapur.

Placements: Some companies like L&T and Tata Power visited here, but just minor students get placed. However, rather than that, most of the students get placed, and salaries offered range between Rs. 12,000-24,000 per month.

Infrastructure: There are smart classrooms here, and Wi-Fi is available only for teachers. However, students can use hostel Wi-Fi. Our college is currently in development, and on the 3rd floor maybe it will introduce some good things. In the canteen, meals are not much great, and also they don't allow students to go out in lunch break. Due to the pandemic, laboratory classes are not conducted, and maybe this can cause trouble in future.

Faculty: Most of the teachers here are really good, helpful and sometimes engaging. But some teachers are bad. You will get opportunities, but it depends on you how much you are passionate about things. During exams, guarding is strict, and there will be 2-3 teachers in a class to check exams.

Other: Events or fests are organised here.

Placements: If you want to pursue diploma courses in any field, i.e., mechanical, electrical, civil, computer in Durgapur, I shall recommend you to join Dr. B.C. Roy Polytechnic, which is situated in the heart of Durgapur. I recommend this college because of its staff members support, experienced teachers, huge campus and mostly best placements in major manufacturing industries like Tata Power, Capgemini, Bosch, L&T, SEW and many others. I can proudly say our college has 99% placements record this year with most recruitment from the mechanical branch.

Infrastructure: Dr. B.C. Roy Polytechnic campus has been equipped with a fast working Wi-Fi network. There is a huge and spacious library with air-conditioners where students can get all types of books for their need according to their syllabus. This college also has a fully functional gym with most machines for workout and fitness, and it is allowed only for hostel students. The hostel mess and canteen provided by management are very hygienic and diverse in context of food availability of different types.

Faculty: Teachers here are very supportive, and they all are very supportive. They have a good and vast knowledge of their subject due to which our college has been maintaining its academic and placement records for many years. Overall, our college has teachers with good qualification and better student understanding concepts. Teachers will coordinate with students and solve their confusion related to any topic to make them industry-ready. Practical labs also play a very important deep role to make them industry-ready.

Other: I have chosen this course because I was very keen to know more about how mechanical equipment like lathe machine works and the principle behind it. I am also very connected to this type of information. So after my higher secondary, I got admission in the mechanical department at Dr. Bc Roy Polytechnic. Now I am in last year of the last semester of my 3-year. I will remember every good memory when I will be passed out of it. Our college organises amazing science fest, many thoughtful events and extracurricular activities like singing competition, art competition, sports, etc.
