B.A.in Computer Application +Economics - Batch of 2026

Great faculty and course content, placement support is minimal.
Placements: Placement is not offered by our college. Internships are provided. Students normally attempt. On their own through an outside channel, in our previous batches of my course of B.A. Computer Application and Economics in Dyal Singh Evening College, approximately 40% of students managed to get placements. The average package offered is around 3 LPA, the highest reported being about 7 LPA. 35%-40% of students got placed in internships that are organized by the college itself.
Infrastructure: With regard to infrastructure, Dyal Singh Evening College provides relatively good facilities to students in my course as well as other courses. ICT and OMSP labs in the college are well maintained with internet and Wi-Fi facilities on the campus. Classrooms and seminar halls also have projectors and audio-visual aids. The library is solid and it contains about 58,000 books, and air-conditioned reading rooms. There is a range of reasonably priced snacks and meals available in the cafeteria. Hostel facilities are not available in the college, so students need to get PGs or flats around the college area.
Faculty: The professors are well qualified, approachable, and extremely knowledgeable, even guest teachers. Professors describe concepts clearly, welcome questions, and consistently have projects and class tests assigned to reinforce material. Curriculum is quite well-rounded, it has practical as well as economics theory, and provides a proper academic base, particularly if one is thinking of pursuing higher studies or competitive exams. Semester exams are moderately challenging. If you remain consistent with lectures, complete your internal work, and complete the syllabus, you're going to do fine. The pass rate is high for this course if you prepare well.
Other: I chose B.A. Programme in Computer Application with Economics because a mix of technical and analytical learning was offered. What I liked the most about the course is the mix of coding skills with a proper understanding of economics, which opens a lot of career and further research opportunities. Teachers are motivating and the curriculum is well-balanced, though I believe greater exposure to industry, updated labs, and systematic placements will make it better.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2024

Absolutely this is a very good college with affordable feels.
Placements: Placement support exists via a college placement cell and an internship fair. However, opportunities are reported as limited and mainly accessed by higher CGPA students, e.g., 8 CGPA. Placement states vary widely. Shiksha reviews note 25%-60% placement rates across courses, with packages ranging from 2.5 LPA-15 LPA, averaging 5 LPA-7 LPA in top cases. Other sources mention speak of 10 LPA-36 LPA, with average packages from 4 LPA-5 LPA to 5.7 LPA. Honesty, the placement of this college is very poor, as very few companies give placement to this college.
Infrastructure: DSEC offers undergraduate courses in Arts and Commerce, including B.Com (Hons) B.A. (Hons) in History, Political Science, English and the B.A. Program. Annual fee is low, roughly about 12,700-13,300 for core courses. Hence, making it a strong value-for-money option. The campus is adjacent to JLN Metro Station, offering excellent accessibility. The lush, central location also places it near key areas of Delhi like Khan Market and CP. Facilities include a spacious library (connected to DUS N-List e-resources), sports grounds, auditorium, cafeteria, IT labs, medical services, and Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Faculty members are generally well-regarded. Shiksha average rating is 4.1/5, with ~ 80% of reviewers rating faculty at 3-5 stars. Teachers as qualified, approachable, and supportive. The curriculum is moderate in difficultly, and assignments area. Students are overly burden sometimes, especially in evening setting. However, some have weaker engagement but consistent teaching quality, especially in non-commerce streams. Attendance and academic pressure are said to be relatively lax.

B.Com. (Hons.) - Batch of 2027

It has a good infrastructure and campus.
Placements: About 20-30% of students who appear for placements get recruited. The top recruiters included companies such as Urban and AECC Global. The average package ranges from 2-4 LPA. The course which I chose is B.Com (Hons.). Top roles offered are mainly in the sales and marketing fields.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility in Dyal Singh Evening College. The overall infrastructure is good. Classrooms are good and well-maintained. Canteen food is also fine. The library and labs have AC. There is a volleyball court, basketball court, and football ground. An auditorium and seminar hall are also there in the college. Water coolers are also fine.
Faculty: I love our college faculty members. Teachers are very sweet and nice. Classes take place regularly and the quality of education imparted is great. Semester exams at the university are not that hard since everything comes from the syllabus only. If students are thorough with the syllabus and have good internal marks, we can easily score 8-9 SGPA.
Other: I chose B.Com (Hons) because I am pursuing CMA side by side. I love this course because I like studying accounts. An annual fest takes place which is pretty good. Surroundings of the college are pretty decent. The location is the best as it is situated in a posh area. The crowd is also decent.

The college has good infrastructure and a very nice environment.
Placements: Students should score above 8 CGPA. The highest package is around 8 to 9 lakhs per annum, while the lowest package is about 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. Top recruiting companies include Aditya Birla, Reliance, and many more. Approximately 50 to 60% of students secure placements from our college, especially in commerce roles.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by our college are much better, with good infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available on all floors, creating a pleasant environment. The corridors are clean, and the classrooms are neat. The library is fully air-conditioned. Our college is currently constructing hostels, and there is a very good canteen. We also offer many sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable; all professors have qualified for Ph.D. programs and demonstrate excellent teaching quality. All teachers are supportive and approachable for students. The courses offered here help students excel in a short time, and there is no difficulty in passing semester exams.
Other: I opted for this course because I have an interest in it. The best aspect of my program is that it provides knowledge of politics and fosters quick cognitive growth. I am satisfied with my course. I always attend events and fests, which have about 20000 students studying in our college. Scholarships are available for students who have come from weaker sections.

Delhi University College is one of the most satisfactory.
Placements: Only a few courses have good placements. For B.Com Honours and Koshish, like English honours, you will go on a soldier placement, but they don't have that many would packages. A lot of students acquired a package of more than 30 LPA. You can easily secure a package if you are good at studying.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty much acceptable, but it has a lot of dirty places. For example, sometimes the washrooms aren't clean at all, and sometimes what is available in the water taps and at the water dispenser, but that happens only a few times in one semester.
Faculty: One thing I like to appreciate about them is their faculty and curriculum. If you are looking for a good faculty college. It is one of the best colleges you can opt for, and the curriculum and exams of pretty easy to I don't find them difficult.
Other: I think they have the best campus life as everything is available nearby, the food counter is in coffee shops, and the surroundings are also very clean.

B.A. (Hons.) Political Science - Batch of 2026

Good faculty members and infrastructure, but low placements.
Placements: I am currently in the third year, 6th semester of college. Since the course is Political Science, direct placements are low. The highest package offered is 5-6 LPA. Companies like FMCG and KPMG recruit from here. Only 5% of students get placed. The quality of education is good, but placements are low.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college has considerably improved. Wi-Fi facility is available in the college hours. Classrooms are spacious with natural lighting and electricity. A new library has been constructed, which is huge, with AC, fans, newspapers, and all kinds of books and resources. It has double the accommodation of the previous one.
Faculty: Almost all teachers for my course are highly capable and great in their professions. Especially in the Political Science department, professors bring their high expertise and efficient teaching methods, which help us greatly. They provide us with insights and inspire us. Faculty members make the course interesting.
Other: The reason I chose this course is my interest in Political Science and the scope it scope available to any other courses. The best thing of this course is that it is highly interdisciplinary, meaning you study parts of economics, public policy, history, and several other things in this paper. Apart from this, it is a scientific field that makes our minds more practical and teaches us the merit of both theoretical and empirical knowledge.
