The admission into FIEM for B.Tech course is done through WBJEE conducted by the state , the candidate would have to send application to the same, and also appear for the same and clear it and he must also take part in the councelling of the WBJEE exam. The college also accepted other national level entrance exam like JEE Mains scores for admission. The requirement for admission are the candidate must pass class 12 from a recognised board in the related subjects.

Choosing FIEM for Hotel Management.
Placements: 100% of students are placed in the Department of Hospitality and Hotel Administration. The lowest package offered is 2.4 LPA. The highest is 4.5 LPA through management training programs. Our college is associated with top hospitality recruiters. These include Marriott International, Accor Hotels, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, ITC Hotels & Resorts, Hilton, St. Regis, & Leela Palace Hotels. 100% of students get internships at multiple national & international 5 star hotel properties. These include Marriott Hyderabad, Pullman Novotel New Delhi Aerocity, JW Marriott Kolkata, Leela Palace Udaipur, Jaipur Marriott Hotel, Westin Kolkata, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is absolutely beautiful, with spacious, air-conditioned classrooms and labs for the BHHA department. We have two large libraries in our college from which we can get our books, so we do not need to purchase any books from outside. The college does not directly have any hostel facilities, but it is associated with local paying guest providers that offer a very safe and hygienic environment at a low price. Our college also has a large canteen, a mini cricket ground, and one large basketball ground where multiple sports events take place. We also have nearby hospitals and clinics for any medical assistance.
Faculty: Our faculty members are qualified and very helpful, not only in classes but also outside of classes. They are very friendly and supportive, from classroom sessions to placement support. The course curriculum, as per the instructions of MAKAUT University, is very understandable and makes students industry-ready. Passing the semester exams is not that difficult, as students can easily get a few marks from internal exams. Pass percentage is above 95%.
Other: I chose it because I am very much interested in hospitality industry. I want to work abroad. This college supports me completely. This course is already better with a structured syllabus. Our syllabus includes not only industry-related subjects but also common management subjects. There are multiple clubs that organize multiple events throughout the year. Students can join any club of their choice. I am an advisory member of the film club here, Estrella Productions. The campus crowd is also good, and the college also assists with scholarship programs.

Satisfied with good teaching faculty and curriculum activities.
Placements: The placement of this institution is moderate. Almost 60 percent of students got placement from this college. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Camgemini, etc., come here for placement. The average salary package is 5 LPA. The placement cell is proactive, it organises mock interviews and industry talks. A few students get internships from the campus.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is decent. FIEM provides modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi facility, and a sports area. Drinking water is available on every floor. The library is adequate and well-maintained. Smart classrooms are used to teach the students properly. The hostel facility provided by FIEM is too good. Hostel rooms are clean and big. Medical facilities are also available on campus. The quality of the hostel food is decent.
Faculty: The teaching faculty is extremely good. Their emphasis on industry initiatives and development of practical skills improves student learning and career preparedness. Semester exams are moderate. Regular study and classes make you able to secure a good score. The curriculum of this college is awesome.

Review of Future Institute of Engineering and Management.
Placements: There were placements, not gonna lie but none of them was good ones. Forget about top companies, we got bare minimum salary. The majority didn't even get a job. It's not like there was much going on but it was there. We wish we got reputed ones, though.
Infrastructure: It was terrible. The majority of people preferred renting a place over it. Eventually, the facilities were terrible though. We had to manage somehow. Computer lab was there. Wi-Fi wasn't available. Forget about proper infrastructure life seemed frustrating.
Faculty: Quality of education was terrible. Professors were rather unkind. I didn't have a good time and the quality of education was terrible. I ask parents don't send your kids over there. The place was good for nothing. No great internships were there either.
Other: The worst of all was the campus life and the crowd. Subpar students with a cheap mentality. They were always involved in politics and drugs. I don't know what was with this place. Why did I even go there. Please don't make the mistake I did.

My college is good but not the best. I think it will really improve in the upcoming days.
Placements: In CSE, almost 85% of students get placed. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest package is 2 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA. Top companies are TCS, Wipro, etc. Almost 70% of students get internships through TCS and Wipro. Web Development is the best role offered in my college.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very good. Labs are good, though not great, but the library is the best. Classrooms are good. There is no Wi-Fi in the college, but Wi-Fi is available in the library. Sports, medical facilities, the canteen, and games facilities are average.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, especially in the CSE department. They are very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Passing the semester exams is very tough because this is a MAKAUT-affiliated university. The passing percentage is almost 70%. Most teachers are graduates from top colleges.
Other: College offers good placements and has best teachers. Smart boards are used in classrooms. The lab rooms need improvement. Events and fests are always good. Many scholarships are also provided.

I really miss my college days.
Placements: As I came from a department which had 70 students, out of these, 80 percent got placed in MNCs across India. The average package provided through our placement cell was 5 LPA. The highest package was about 12 LPA. The lowest was 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies were TCS, PWC, Cognizant, Capsitech, Infosys, Nvidia, and many others. The percentage of students who got internships was 100 percent, as it was compulsory from the college side. Top roles offered were SDE, Consultant, Associate, Customer Care Executive, Operations Executive, and many others.
Infrastructure: Facilities on our campus were good. There were 3 buildings, one for the Engineering department, one for the Business department, and another for Hospitality and Hotel Management. The infrastructure was good. The Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library facilities were good. There were so many books in the library that students could spend a lot of time there. There were no hostel facilities available, so students had to find a PG for themselves. The canteen was fine with limited food options. There were no medical facilities available. Sports Day was held every year.
Faculty: Faculty was excellent. All teachers were highly educated and well versed in their subjects. They did not bring books to the class and started teaching directly with practical demonstrations. The theory classes did not seem boring. The exams were based on what was taught in class. If one followed the classes well, one could easily score good marks. The invigilators during exams were strict. The curriculum was relevant to the real world and made students industry-ready. The pass percentage was 40%.

My review of the college FIEM.
Placements: Good placement percentage, like 80%. The highest package is 11 LPA, the lowest 2 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Cognizant, Capsitech, PWC, FBSPL, and startups. 100% got internships in Ardent, Euphoria GenX, and other places. Top role offered is an SDE Consultant Associate.
Infrastructure: Good facility and infrastructure with a ground-floor entrance with computer labs, accounts department and classroom. The library is good with chilled AC and Wi-Fi. All subject books are available. The food staff is good, and the behaviour of the canteen staff is good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and they guide you well. They teach in a way that makes you industry-ready. The course taught is industry-relevant and helps students to get ready for company life. The guard given during the exam time is very tough. No one can turn their head and ask for answers.

FIEM Admission 2025 FAQs

Q:   Can I join Future Institute of Engineering and Management without JEE?
A: 

Direct admission is not offered by the Future Institute of Engineering and Management (FIEM). Before entering the counselling round, you must successfully complete the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or the JEE Mains with a qualifying rank.

FIEM also accepts the results of other national entrance exams for admission. For instance, entrance to the MBA programme is based on CMAT scores. Results from the WB JECA are also recognised by FIEM for the MCA programme.

FIEM offers courses for the B.Tech, B.BA, B.CA, B.Sc. in Media Science, and B.BA. in Hospital Management degrees.

 

You cannot, regrettably, enter the Future Institute of Engineering and Management immediately. To be admitted through the counselling process, you must have a qualifying rank in WBJEE or JEE Mains.

Q:   How can I take admission to MCA programme at FIEM?
A: 

For FIEM Kolkata postgraduate admission, two courses are available: M.B.A. and M.C.A. Students must take the WB JECA in order to be admitted to M.C.A.

Eligibility Criteria:

    • Class 10th admit card/ certificate or birth certificate for verification of age

    • Higher secondary (10+2) level or equivalent certificate.

    • Degree mark sheets as applicable.

    • Any other documents as per the criteria set by different universities / institutes.

    • SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD certificate issued from competent authority ( where applicable).

    • Domicile certificate.

    • JECA counselling registration form & rank card.

    • Two copies of recent passport size colour photograph.
