A short review of an ECE Aspirant in GMRIT Caste.
Placements: In my college, around 75% of the people got placed from my department. The highest package was 12 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. The average package lies around 3 LPA. Many top companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, Infosys visited our college this year. Around 40% of our seniors got internship opportunities in TCS and some core startups. The roles offered were mainly in VLSI, Embedded Systems, and Software fields.
Infrastructure: Though our college was a reputed institute, the classrooms in our department were poor. There were no proper signals received by our department, and the campus Wi-Fi strength was too weak in our department. We have a huge library with a vast collection of books. The hostel rooms and hostel food were not worth the price we paid. Sport facilities are great, and medical support is available.
Faculty: Our department faculty were well qualified and educated, but didn't deliver the content clearly. They mostly rely on textbooks and simply dump the textbook theory that they have prepared. The curriculum was well designed, but mostly it focuses on theory rather than practical industry exposure. The semester exams are moderate in nature, and by writing the textbook content, we can get good grades. The pass percentage in our class lies around 75%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in Embedded systems and connections. The best thing about the college was some faculty who were supportive and helped us in every situation. I wish there were more industry tours and internships to boost the students' morale. The crowd was friendly, and cultural events only happen twice a year in our college.

A short review of my experience in the ECE department at GMRIT College.
Placements: Around 75% of my seniors got placed in the department. Companies like TCS, Wipro, TechM visited our college this year. Around 248 people got selected for the TCS campus drive conducted in our college. The highest package of our branch is 12 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. The average package of our branch lies around 3.5 LPA. Around 40% of our seniors got internship offers in BSNL and TCS companies. The roles offered are mostly software-related jobs with a few core options.
Infrastructure: Coming to the infrastructure of my department, the classrooms are average, and the labs are decent. The Wi-Fi strength was moderate. We have a huge library which contains different types of reference books, and we also have a digital library through which we can access premium journal papers for our research purposes. Hostel rooms and mess food are average. The canteen food is affordable and great. Sport grounds and courts are good for regular play, and medical support is available 24/7.
Faculty: The faculty in the ECE department are helpful and knowledgeable, though teaching quality varies. The curriculum is decent but mostly theory-oriented, so fulfilling the industry needs will be difficult for the students in my department. Exams are moderate in nature. Most students pass. The pass percentage is around 85-90%.
Other: I chose this course because of my parents' pressure. It is a good college with decent facilities and placements, but the fest structure was too expensive for a middle-class student. Fests happen annually, and Stepcone is the only big fest that happens at our college grandly. I wish that our branch had more industry exposure and tours.

Good infrastructure, supportive faculty, active campus life, & decent placements for ECE students.
Placements: I am from the ECE department of GMRIT. Around 85-90% of students in our course get placed every year, with packages ranging from 3 LPA to 12+ LPA. Top recruiters include L&T Technology Services, Tata Elxsi, TCS, Infosys, and Accenture, offering roles in core electronics and software development.
Infrastructure: Our ECE department has well-equipped laboratories, smart classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a central library with good technical resources. The hostels are clean and well-maintained, with decent rooms, 24/7 security, and good medical facilities. The mess food is satisfactory, and students have access to the canteen, indoor and outdoor sports, and a healthy campus environment.
Faculty: The faculty in ECE are qualified, supportive, and deliver concepts clearly with good teaching quality. The curriculum is industry-relevant with practical labs and projects that help students become job-ready. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and the pass percentage is generally high, around 85-90%.
Other: I am from the ECE department of GMRIT. I chose this course because of my interest in electronics, communication systems, and the career opportunities it offers. The best part of the course is the practical exposure through labs and projects, though more core-company placements and hands-on training would make it even better. The campus has good fests, an active crowd, strong extracurricular activities, and peaceful surroundings with good connectivity.

I am somewhat satisfied with this college.
Placements: Everyone who starts in this college will get a summer internship of four weeks and a full semester internship in the fourth year. The highest and the lowest packages that the company provides are 2.5 LPA to 40 LPA. For GMRIT, the top recruiting company is AWS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure that is provided is very nice. We have a lot of greenery inside the campus. It provide Wi-Fi to the students. Large Library is available. But hostels for the girl students would be very difficult to live in. There are very strict rules and regulations for them.
Faculty: The faculty in GMRIT is highly qualified. Everyone has completed their PhD within their fields, but their teaching qualities are not so good, not for everyone, but a few of them did that in college giving. The semester exams would be very easy.
Other: Out of fashion, I took electronics and communication engineering at this college. I like this college because you can do so many projects during your college life, which will impact your career.

ECE at GMRIT - From campus to career.
Placements: 75% of our ECE branch students in our college got placed. The highest salary was 12 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average salary was 3.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra visited. Nearly 40% got internship opportunities in TCS and some core startups. Roles are mostly in embedded, VLSI, and software.
Infrastructure: My department has well-equipped labs, clean classrooms, and a big library. The campus Wi-Fi works well in academic blocks. Hostel rooms are decent; the mess food is okay. The canteen is better. Medical care is available 24/7. Sport facilities are good with grounds and indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and the teaching quality is good. The curriculum is mostly relevant and gives decent industry knowledge and exposure. Semester exams are moderate. We can pass easily by writing the content present in textbooks. The pass percentage is usually around 85% in our course.
Other: I chose ECE for the mix of hardware and software. The best part is Strong basics. Labs and placement support. Wish we had more core companies and advanced projects. Campus fests are great, the crowd is friendly, good transport, scholarships are available, and lots of clubs and events happen frequently in our college.
