AP ECET 2023: Application Form (OUT), Exam Date (OUT), Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus

AP ECET 2023 application form has been released online. Candidates will be able to access the AP ECET application form 2023 until April 10, without an additional late fee. AP ECET 2023 will be held as a computer-based test for all registered candidates on May 5. Before registering for AP ECET 2023, the candidates are advised to check the official eligibility criteria. Candidates will be able to access their obtained scores through the AP ECET 2023 result. What is AP ECET?

Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP ECET) is conducted by JNTU, Anantapur on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The exam is a gateway for Diploma holders of Engineering Technology/ Pharmacy and BSc Graduates to seek admission under the lateral entry scheme to the 2nd year of BE/ BTech/ BPharmacy Programmes offered at Universities and AICTE/PCI approved Institutions in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

AP ECET 2023 Highlights

AP ECET 2023 Application Form

Candidates can now access the application form of AP ECET 2023 online to participate in the entrance exam. During the AP ECET application process, the candidates will have to register, fill in the required details, upload scanned documents and pay the fee. The selection of the AP ECET 2023 exam centre has to be done in the order of preference. For the registered candidates, the correction facility will be open from April 20 to 22, where they will be able to edit/modify their submitted details. 

AP ECET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

General eligibility criteria to appear for AP ECET : 

• The candidate should be an Indian.
• The candidate should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh.
• The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
• The candidates should possess a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh State or any other Diploma recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant BE/ BTech/ BPharmacy courses into the Courses corresponding to the Diplomas.
• They should have passed the 3-year BSc Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the state or its equivalent for entry into relevant courses.
• The candidates who are pursuing a Diploma course shall be eligible for entry into the relevant BE/BTech/BPharmacy courses provided they have completed the practical training prescribed for the award of diploma course before admission into the college.
• The candidates should have passed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy/ BSc Degree as the case may be with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) for entry into relevant courses.

Eligibility for Lateral Entry Admission into BE/BTech/BPharm

• The candidates should have appeared and qualified at the AP ECET 2023.
• Mere appearance at the Entrance Test does not automatically entitle a candidate to be considered for entry into any course unless the candidate satisfies the requirement of eligibility and other criteria laid down in the rules of admission.
• Admission offered against 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be unreserved seats as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
• The admissions offered under the lateral entry scheme in the case of Un-Aided Private Professional institutions (Minority & non-Minority) are 20% over and above the sanctioned intake into the course. In the case of University Colleges, the lateral entry seats are 10% over and above the sanctioned intake into the course.
• While filling up the lateral entry seats based on the AP ECET 2023 ranks, BSc(Mathematics) stream students will be considered for admission only after exhausting all the qualified diploma holders.

AP ECET 2023 Syllabus

The authorities have released the AP ECET syllabus 2023 online. The details regarding the subject, topics and units to be studied for the examination is available through the syllabus of AP ECET 2023. By knowing the syllabus beforehand, the candidates will be able to prepare well for the entrance examination. The syllabus consists of topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and their selected paper. 

AP ECET 2023 Exam Pattern

Candidates will be able to check the information regarding how the entrance examination will be conducted through the AP ECET exam pattern 2023. Information regarding the mode, duration, type of questions, marking scheme and more have been released through the exam pattern of AP ECET 2023. As per the exam pattern, AP ECET 2023 will be held as a computer-based test. 

AP ECET 2023 Preparation Tips

Some of the preparation tips of AP ECET 2023 that will help the candidates to secure higher marks in the examination are listed below. 

• Firstly, the candidates should understand the exam pattern and syllabus of AP ECET 2023 before starting their preparation.
• A personalized timetable should be prepared by the candidates as per their aptitude that covers the syllabus.
• Mock tests should be attempted regularly to understand the progress of the preparation. 
• Revision should be done daily to ensure that the studied topics are not forgotten. 

AP ECET 2023 Admit Card

Registered candidates will be able to access the AP ECET admit card 2023 from April 28. To download the admit card of AP ECET 2023, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. The information regarding the exam date, venue, timings, guidelines and more will be available on the admit card. While reporting for the exam, the candidates will have to produce their admit cards along with identity proof. 

AP ECET 2023 Answer Key

The authorities will release the AP ECET answer key 2023 on May 9. Candidates will be able to check the correct responses to the question paper through the answer key of AP ECET 2023. Using the answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate their probable secured scores in the entrance examination. The authorities will also accept objections against the provisional AP ECET answer key until May 11. The final answer key will be released after the objections are checked by the authorities. 

AP ECET 2023 Result

Candidates will be able to check their obtained scores through the AP ECET result 2023 online. To access the result of AP ECET 2023, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. Only qualified candidates will be able to participate in the AP ECET 2023 counselling process. AP ECET 2023 rank card will also be released along with the result.

AP ECET 2023 Counselling

Qualified candidates will be able to participate in the AP ECET 2023 counselling. To participate in the counselling of AP ECET 2023, the candidates will have to pay the fee and choose the preferred colleges and courses. AP ECET 2023 seat allotment results will be announced online. The selected candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date.
