Q:   Are CAT cut offs announced along with the CAT result?
A: 

CAT cutoffs are usually not announced with the CAT result. The CAT cutoffs are also not released to the public.

They are published after a few days of the result announcement when the IIMs and other colleges start their shortlisting process. The IIMs opens their shortlisting window based on the CAT cut-offs two to three days after the result announcement. The CAT percentile of candidates shortlisted for the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) can be considered the cut-off for that IIM. For example, if a candidate with a CAT percentile of 99 belonging to the General category is selected for the WAT/GD-PI of IIM Calcutta, then the CAT cut-off for IIM Calcutta is 99 percentile. Only those candidates who make it to the WAT/GD-PI round of IIMs will get to know the cut-offs.

Yes, GNIOT Group of Institutions offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course in the stream of Management for a duration of two years, which is taught by the trimester system. This course is approved by AICTE, the Ministry of HRD and the Government of India and taught by the GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS). Students can pursue PGDM course in dual specialisations. The total seat intake for this course is 180. Q:   How can I get admission to MBA at GNIOT?
A: 

Admission to MBA at GNIOT is entirely based on the scores of the national-level entrance exam conducted for the Management courses. Candidates are required to qualify for either CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ XAT/ ATMA with a valid score.  Selected candidates are further called for group discussion and essay writing. Aspirants also need to pass the PI round for final selection.

 GNIOT admission to all the courses is offered via both merit and entrance exam scores. The popularly accepted entrance exams are CAT, MAT, CMAT, JEE Main, CUET UG, etc. The final seat allotment is done based on UPTAC Counselling process. Good learning environment with strong placements and supportive faculty.
Placements: Around 80–90% of students get placed. The highest package is good. The average package is decent and growing. Top recruiters include banking, finance, IT, and marketing firms. Most students also get internships in reputed companies with strong roles in sales, marketing, HR, and analytics.
Infrastructure: Our college provides very good facilities for the PGDM department. Classrooms are modern with projectors and smart boards, which help in interactive learning. The campus has high-speed Wi-Fi, so we can easily access materials and online tools. We also have computer labs with updated software for marketing, analytics, and presentations. The library is one of the best parts. It has a wide collection of books, journals, case studies, and a peaceful reading area. The hostel is comfortable and safe. Rooms are clean, well-maintained, and have the basic facilities students need. Security is available 24/7, so students feel safe.
Faculty: All teachers have advanced-level knowledge and good skills. It includes communication, behavior, and Ph.D.-level qualifications. The course curriculum is very relevant. It is very helpful in real-world corporate life. I do not face difficulties in passing the semester because teachers are very helpful. They teach in an easy way, using different methods that are very useful.
Other: I chose the PGDM course because I want a program that focuses more on practical learning, industry exposure, and skill development. The best things about my PGDM course are the industry-oriented curriculum, supportive faculty, and continuous learning through live projects. We get exposure to corporate culture through workshops, guest lectures, and industry visits. Everything is good, but I feel a few areas can be improved, such as increasing the number of industry visits, adding more advanced digital tools training. They provide more opportunities for internships.

The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing students to stay connected and access digital learning resources anytime. The mess canteen is good, and during break you can go out and have some snacks too.

I am having a great time studying so far.
Placements: All students I know as their junior get their placements. The package is ranges from 5 to 7 LPA. Many students get internships and work on live projects. Roles in marketing, HR, finance, and other areas are offered in our course. About 40–50 percent of students get internships. Just a few days ago, more than 190 students got selected for live internships.
Infrastructure: I am from the L&D department and serve as a coordinator for the current PGDM course. Facilities and infrastructure available are excellent. We also have sports competitions, and medical facilities are available. I do not use the canteen, and I stay in a PG, not in a hostel, so I have no experience regarding that.
Faculty: Teachers are very flexible and adaptive. The quality of teaching is actually better than I expected. The course curriculum is very relevant. The semester exams are strict and push my practical thinking with tricky questions.
Other: I plan to become a businessman, but I lack practical exposure to the corporate world, and I aim to gain it through this course.

Really good infrastructure, operation faculty members, full facilities of Wi-Fi.
Placements: Sales, HR recruitment, financial analyst, assistant manager, students are placed here 100 percent and it is proved in each and every batch. Many multi-brands come to the campus like IDFC. A new subject is introduced, that is AI, which comes in every specialisation.
Infrastructure: Fully Wi-Fi enabled campus which includes ground, classrooms, labs, hostel, and lawn area. Proper big gym for girls and boys hostel. There is 24*7 medical facility available here, from first aid to hospital; they have their own ambulance with driver available every time.

The most desired course among all courses was BTech in CSE (AI and DS) (452427), then the second-most competitive course was BTech in CSE with a cutoff rank 467348. In contrast to them, the least competitive course was BTech in ECE.

Q:   What is the admission process for PGDM at GNIOT?
A: 

As per the admission process for a two-year PGDM course at GNIOT, candidates have to qualify for the various stages of the selection process in order to get admission. The selection process for PGDM consists of four main steps. Find all of them below:

  1. Fill the application form: To apply for PGDM, first fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria and pass graduation with 50% aggregate. Then fill application form with all the relevant details along with paying an application fee of INR 1,200. 
  2. Qualify the entrance exam: Qualify for any one of the entrance exam from either CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT and GIMS Aptitude Test (GAT). 
  3. Appear in GD/PI round: Once candidates qualify the respective entrance exam, they have to appear in the GD & PI rounds conducted at the institute. 
  4. Merit-list releasing: The institute will prepare a merit list of the shortlisted candidates based on their eligibility criteria, scores of the entrance exam and performance in GD& PI rounds.
