Golaghat Engineering College.
Placements: The first batch has been successfully placed with the highest package of 9 LPA and an average of 3.5 LPA. Students secured prestigious internships at top companies such as Oil India, ONGC, IOCL, NRL, and BCPL, marking significant achievements for our institution.
Infrastructure: Our college is one of the top government institutions in Assam, known for its excellent infrastructure. The computer lab is fully equipped and up to date, running the latest version of Windows, ensuring students have access to modern technology and resources for their academic growth.
Faculty: Our faculty consists of highly educated professionals who are not only experts in their fields but also approachable and friendly. They are dedicated to providing quality education and fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. Our Training and Placement Officer, along with the coordinator, plays a crucial role in shaping the careers of our students. They are dedicated, approachable, and committed to providing excellent guidance, connecting students with top recruiters, and organizing valuable training sessions to prepare them for successful placements.
Other: The clubs are inactive. There should be active clubs to ensure everyone’s capabilities and to help students identify in which fields they are skilled.

Good infrastructure with great faculty, however, the administration should take more responsibility.
Placements: No recruitment drive was organized this year. However, there was recruitment (campus placement) for our first batch, but no recruitment was done for the last batch and our batch. The administration should focus on the campus recruitment process and try to bring at least one or two companies minimum.
Infrastructure: Good academic building and clean campus. Two hostels are there, but hostels lack proper maintenance. The laboratories require upgradation and new equipment. The campus needs benches to sit. The campus requires maintenance for hygiene and requires dustbins.
Faculty: Faculty is great and well-qualified. However, the teacher-to-student ratio is very low. So, faculty numbers should be increased for the smooth functioning of the college. However, the exam procedure is simple and efficient. Every semester has one or two mid-term tests, assignments, and attendance of 75% is mandatory on the basis of which internal marks are given.

Development for Golaghat Engineering College, faculty members, facilities, and infrastructure.
Placements: Although I am still studying at Golaghat Engineering College, I can say that our college is in developing period last year around 12 companies came for placement recruitment. Among them top recruiting companies were ABEPL, Government of Assam, Tata Motors, etc.
Infrastructure: Lately, there are only 3 courses in the college civil engineering, chemical engineering and mechanical engineering. There are labs and classrooms available. Talking about the hostel only from 2nd year we can get seats in hostel after passing the 1st year exam without back paper.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly to students. Most of them have done a doctorate. I think the quality of teaching makes students ready for industry. Exams are quite difficult and the pass percentage in around 70%- 80%. Also, exams are conducted multiple time per semester.
Other: I chose this course because I have a dream to become an engineer one day and the thing I want to improve in the course is that the college should invest in technology.

Review of Golaghat Engineering College.
Placements: Around 70% of students get placed in our course. There are various companies that come to offer on-campus placements, but the best companies with better salary packages need to visit our college. Students get internships at many top companies.
Infrastructure: College and hostel buildings are very satisfying. Wi-Fi is available in the classrooms. Laboratories and the library are in good condition. A little improvement should be needed in the library. The hostel mess and canteen food are very good. The mess fee is a little high.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and never ignore helping students. They teach each topic with a great concept. Semester exams are a little difficult, but teachers make them easy for students.
Other: I chose this course as engineering was my dream from childhood. The best thing about our course is that students can practically experience some amazing facts.

It is a good college with a good environment and quality studies.
Placements: Placements are not much here. But students are very talented. In the future year, the number of placements will increase. Many companies are interested in coming to the campus placements. In recent years, companies like Byjus, Cognizant, etc., have visited our college for placements.
Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like academic building, an administrative building, hostels for both girls and boys, Wi-Fi, RO purification, lab for every branch, medical facilities, canteen, indoor and outdoor games facilities, good quality of food, library, computer rooms, etc.
Faculty: Regular intervals of exams, class tests, etc., are conducted here. Teachers teaching quality is good. They are very friendly and helpful. They clear all doubts and give regular notes of every subject. Semester exams happen every 6 months. About 8-semester exams are conducted in 4 years.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of very low to no placement. Great campus life and good infrastructu
Placements: The placements of our batch were quite low, with only 2 students out of 52 getting placed at NRL. On the other hand, students are regularly getting internships in reputed companies like NRL, OIL, IOCL, BCPL, APL, BVFCL, etc. , which shows that there is enough potential. With a little more effort and follow-up on the placement side, the results could definitely improve. The college is developing fast, has earned a good name, and it would be great if the same growth is reflected in placements as well.
Infrastructure: Our Chemical Engineering Department has well-equipped labs, a smart classroom, Wi-Fi (though slow), and modern infrastructure. Hostels are quite good and spacious, with two more under construction. The mess, managed by final year students, serves decent and student-friendly food, while the canteen now offers good options at affordable prices. No medical facilities are available on campus, you have to go nearby hospital when needed. Sports facilities include grounds for volleyball, cricket, football, and a basketball court under construction, along with annual competitions and sports week that keep campus life active and vibrant.
Faculty: The teachers in our department are honest, too cool- they don't just act like teachers, but more like friends. They are very approachable and always ready to help whenever we need guidance, whether it's academic or personal support. All of them are well-qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality has been excellent throughout the course. The curriculum is relevant and helps us gain the technical and practical knowledge needed to prepare for the industry. Semester exams are moderately difficult but manageable with proper or normal preparation.
Other: I chose this course as it matches my interests and career goals, offering the right mix of theory and practical exposure. The curriculum is industry-relevant and prepares us for future opportunities. Campus life is engaging, especially during Rhapsody, our annual techno-cultural fest. Earlier, connectivity to the campus was poor, but now it is much improved. The campus is around 5-6 km from town, with shops and hostels nearby. Scholarships and more extracurricular activities could further enhance the overall experience.

College placements are satisfactory. Nearly 75% of applicants were accepted to our college. One LPA is the lowest salary package provided, and eight LPA is the largest. This college training resulted in internships for about 70% of students.
