Review of Government Arts College, Udhagamandalam.
Placements: There are no direct placements. Few companies come to college for placements, but they are not top companies in the market. The packages offered are from 15,000-25,000 only. For high packages, we have to look for off-campus placements. The passed-out students are rarely placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure are not up to the mark. Labs are good, and the equipment is good. No Wi-Fi facilities are provided. It has a good library with plenty of books. Hostels are not good. Mainly SC hostel doesn't have good infrastructure. Students staying here don't get proper food. Mess is not good.
Faculty: Exams are not conducted frequently to enhance the learning of students. The syllabus is not completed on time. The faculty give assignments for the syllabus completed. Faculty members are friendly and helpful, but when it comes to academics, they don't finish the syllabus.

Our college gives value for money because it is a government college.
Placements: There are no placements and no industrial visits. At the end of the semester, few companies visit for placement. The salary package will be around Rs.10,000 to 15,000 per month. Response from the company is not good.
Infrastructure: There is no proper facility for the chemistry lab. There are no proper classes, no ICT classes, and no digital learning. Benches in the class are too old and not enough space for students. Hostel is not up to mark and no proper food is served to the hostelers.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly but not everyone. There is no proper communication between faculty members. Staff give assignments and units they haven't thought. They don't come to class and don't finish the portion given to them.

Placements: There are no placements. Only a small percentage of people get jobs. At the end of the final semester, a few companies visit for placements. The salary package will be around Rs. 10,000 per month to Rs. 15,000 per month.
Infrastructure: There are no proper facilities for the chemistry lab. There are no proper classes for the course. There are no ICT classes for digital learning. The benches in the classroom are too old. There is not enough space for every student in the class. The hostel is not up to the mark and no proper food is given.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly, but not everyone is friendly. Classes are not taken frequently, and they skip some topics. They even give assignments for skipped topics and units. Exams are not kept often enough and the examiners are not aware of the misbehavior. There is no proper system. There are no industrial visits.

I am satisfied with the fee structure but dissatisfied with the infrastructure and teaching .
Placements: There are no top roles offered. Some start-up companies and low-level companies approach placements. At the end of the final semester, few companies visit for placements. The salary package will be around Rs.10,000 to 15,000 per month. Jobs accomplished will be only outside Coimbatore and other parts of Tamilnadu. There are only fewer percent people get jobs by college placement.
Infrastructure: College building is old but has to be better in infrastructure. All physical and chemical labs are not up to mark. No Wi-Fi facilities for students. Classrooms are not too good for education. Library is good with plenty of books. No seating area for students during break time.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful and their teaching is good. Few other staff doesn't finish the portion for the following semester but they give an assignment for the following unit. Teaching is not up to the mark. It doesn't make the students industry-ready.
Other: I love my course because I love to study chemicals. I love to do experiments with chemicals. Chemistry is an important thing to study. It covers our whole life.
