Average faculty, infrastructure and facilities with no placements.
Placements: My course was B.A. and no recruiting companies come to the college. So, no one got any placement and most of the students in my batch choose to study further and some started preparation for competitive exams. There is zero chance of any kind of placement.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available. Infrastructure has improved and classrooms are big and airy. Library is also there but the space in the library is somewhat small. Limited number of students can take advantage of the library at a time. Labs are not of advanced level. They are not well maintained. Hostel rooms are average and the quality of food in the hostel is very bad.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable but some teachers are helpful and some are very rude to the students. Teaching quality is average. Teachers focus only on bookish knowledge. They don't teach anything practically and only centered on the books and theory. Course is quite relevant. It does not make students capable to earn a living but can help if any student wants to go for competitive exams. Semester exams are easy to moderate level but they are lengthy. Pass percentage is 33%. Exams are divided into two parts - Internals (20 marks ) and Externals (80 marks ). These marks can vary depending on the subjects.
Other: I chose the course as I was aiming of appearing in Civil Services exam. It can help you in history, polity etc. I wish the course should include practical work too for example I had history and historical tours should be the part of the curriculum. Various events take place inside and outside the college. But there are no fests. Campus area is very congested and small. It has no ground. Small ground is there which is used by teachers and staff members for parking. College is at the centre of the city. So there are markets in its surroundings and usually there is traffic outside the college. Scholarships are given by government to SC, ST and other minorities. There is not a great focus on extracurricular activities. But various small activities are organised from time to time. Canteen facility is also available but its food can make you sick. It is not approved by any authority. Water coolers run out of water in summers. Toilets are not cleaned time to time.
