It is good for textile engineering. It is the best college of West Bengal for textile technology.

Placements: Placements in the Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology are pretty good for textile apparel branch students. Almost all students in this branch are placed through on-campus placements. It provides pretty good internships for students.

2nd best college for textile department.

Placements: More than 95% of students from Textile Technology branches got on-campus placement in 2024-25. The highest package given by the companies is 18 LPA. The average package is 7 LPA. Actually, this college has only TT and APM placement. There are few placement opportunities for CSE and IT students.

It is a good college for placements.

Placements: Placements are very good in textile and apparel production branch. CSE and IT branch placements are not good enough. The highest package this year is around 5.7 LPA. The lowest salary is 3 LPA and the average package is 3 LPA - 3.5 LPA. Companies like Jayashree Textile, Raymond, and Welshpan are top recruiters. Almost 95% of students got internship opportunities.

Our college has a good campus.

Placements: There are good placements for TT and APM. For IT and CSE, placements are not up to the mark. Our TPO tries its best to make it good for our future. Campus placements will be better in the near future. Many companies will reach our college. I hope everyone will get placed.

Good college location, average infrastructure with good teachers.

Placements: Placement is very good for APM and TT branches with almost 100% placement, but for IT and CSE, it is worse. Good average government college with fewer feels. Recently, there was a placement in Aditya Birla, Raymond, and many valuable companies for the Textile department.
