It is a good college for placements.
Placements: Placements are very good in textile and apparel production branch. CSE and IT branch placements are not good enough. The highest package this year is around 5.7 LPA. The lowest salary is 3 LPA and the average package is 3 LPA - 3.5 LPA. Companies like Jayashree Textile, Raymond, and Welshpan are top recruiters. Almost 95% of students got internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: We have good quality labs with important instruments. We have a very good library where we get all the books we need. Classrooms are old as the college is very old. The hostel started recently. The food of the canteen is good. We play sports on the college ground and also different games.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good in this college. They are really helpful and motivate us often about our studies. Teachers are superbly qualified and knowledgeable as they are pass-out students of reputed colleges like Jadavpur University IIT Kharagpur, etc. This course is pretty good and this course prepares you for the industry. Semester exams are not much tough. Most of the students pass in the semester.
Other: I chose the course because there is not much competition in that field and there's placement record is good in this course. This course is pretty good so I don't think there's no need to change anything. Every year the students of this college organise a cultural fest named Texavision. There's not much crowd in this college as there are only 4 courses in this college. This college is very near Serampore railway station and only 40 minutes from Howrah railway station. The campus is not that big but the surroundings are superb as the Ganges river is beside the college.

It is good for textile engineering. It is the best college of West Bengal for textile technology.
Placements: Placements in the Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology are pretty good for textile apparel branch students. Almost all students in this branch are placed through on-campus placements. It provides pretty good internships for students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Serampore is not so good, but adjustable. Buildings of this college are very old. Labs are just okay. Hostels are available but the capacity is too small.
Faculty: Teachers are very much qualified. Almost all are PhD holders. They all are very helpful. We can easily understand the core parts of engineering through their lectures. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready for textile companies. The semester exam level is as usual. The passing mark out of 100 is 40.
Other: Placements are good enough for the textile and Apparel Production course. All things are average, not so bad here.

Good college location, average infrastructure with good teachers.
Placements: Placement is very good for APM and TT branches with almost 100% placement, but for IT and CSE, it is worse. Good average government college with fewer feels. Recently, there was a placement in Aditya Birla, Raymond, and many valuable companies for the Textile department.
Infrastructure: Hostel is not available at the moment for 2nd and 3rd-year students as it has been in preparation for the last 3 years. A little canteen with a good amount of items is there. Classrooms are average. There is a ground in the middle to play sports and there are no medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful if you are interested in that course, of course. Exams are average, not that much hard. Apart from Maths, other subjects are easy to clear. Course curriculum is pretty tough. You have 4 CA exams with 2 practical exams, and after that, the semester exam and practicals.
Other: If you want to go for further studies like M.Teach or government exams preparation, this college is best for you. You can get your B.Teach degree here and do what you are aiming for.

Value for money for Textile and apm branches .
Placements: The placements in our college is good. 97% placements in textile technology, 87% placements in apm, CSE and it placements are average, I don't know the actual percentage. Top recruiter company are Raymond, Aditya Birla garments, Hcl, Cognizant, Infosys, Tata.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is average and not so good. I didn't find any Wi-Fi in the college. Labs and classrooms are average. But library is well maintained. Library has many books and librarian's behaviour is very good. I don't know about hostel, I am currently living in a nearby PG.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They teach us with good manners, the have sufficient knowledge, they enrich us through their knowledge, teaching quality is awesome. In fact our apm and textile technology study curriculum makes us industry ready but in other branches, you have to study in personal way. Semester exams are good with some difficulty Pass percentage is 97%.
Other: Actually I chose this course because the placement is very good in apm and textile branch. It would be better if our infrastructure is better. Many events are going on, fest scholarship is active and applicable. It is a good college.

It is a very good college and an amazing place.
Placements: 100% of students got placed in Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Serampore. It is a very good college, located near the Ganga river. The view from the college is amazing. I like it very much.
Infrastructure: Our college has free Wi-Fi, labs, library, and all facilities for students. All types of games are organised. The library is very useful and well cleaned. It is helpful for all students, and it is awesome. I like that.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good and very helpful for all students. It makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are very difficult because the question papers are prepared by MAKAUT.

Placements were good for textile and apparel students, and the teachers were quite helpful.
Placements: The college provides 100% placements for the textile batch. Placements for IT and CSE branches are around 75%. Companies like Welspun, Raymonds, Shahi Exports, Vardhamann, Reliance Textiles, and Voltas visit the campus, especially for the textile and apparel management branch. For IT and CSE branch, there is pool campusing, and students get placed in companies like Wipro, Capgemini, Oracle, TCS, etc. The salaries offered for apparel and textile batch are between 2.40-3.60 lacs per annum. Students are offered roles in production or merchandising department.
Infrastructure: The campus is spread over a huge area. Lab facilities are good. There is no proper maintenance since the college is 100 years old and the weaving machines have gone rusted. The campus has 5 buildings, out of which, four are academic blocks, and one is the hostel block. A doctor used to visit the campus on a few days for some time to look after the students. Wi-Fi facility is also available for students.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and have done their research from various IITs and have work experience of more than 10 years in their respective field. As the number of students in our batch was 150, and there were around 30 teachers, the student-teacher ratio was 5:1.
Other: Texavision is the technical and cultural fest of our college. Independence Day, Republic Day, Vishwakarma Puja and Saraswati puja are also celebrated. Sports day, cricket match, and football match are conducted every year. Reunion is organised on 26th January, every year, in the campus itself.

Great ROI college with decent college life.
Placements: The placements are quite good for TT and APM students. 100% of the batch is placed. Placements in IT and CSE are negligible. The average package this year is 3.5 LPA and the highest is 5.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Vardhman Textile, Trident, Voltas, Jayashree Textile, Arvind, Raymond, etc. Roles offered are mostly management trainee or supply chain and textile engineer. Students get internships in their 3rd year, many companies hire interns and later some convert to PPO.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average. The buildings are old and not well maintained. The condition of labs is poor and the equipment are faulty. Some classrooms are equipped with air-conditioning and projectors. The hostel is still under renovation phase. Hostel has a mess, common room for games, canteen, etc. There are shared bedrooms but the seats are very limited. The hostel facilities are also average.
Faculty: Faculty members are the best part of this college. They are highly qualified. Almost everyone has research papers published in their names. They are very helpful and cooperative to us. The course curriculum is quite relevant and designed in a way to make students industry-ready when they graduate. The semester exams are not so difficult, students can easily pass with minimum effort.
Other: My reason for choosing this college and course was because it is very economical and it has 100% placements. Also, the location played a role because it's situated right beside the Ganges so the view is beautiful. Many events and programs are going on all round the year. The annual cultural fest is called Texavision and annual sports fest is Ayaschya and there are countless events in them. Festivals like Holi and Saraswati puja are also celebrated.

This Collage is known as textile collage so obviously textile and apparel branch i
Placements: The placement cell of gcetts is good for those who studied in textile or apparel branch. Almost all student of TT and APM should placed through placement cell . Student placed with the highest package of 18 lpa and avarge package for TT is good and APM avarge package is decent
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good but enough for simple living , hostels facilities are available but less number of seats in hostel it was around 100 seats for all of gcetts student. Very old collage so building are not well equipe but nothing problems in classes
Faculty: Faculties are good , maximum numbers of faculties are PhD holder They always helps to learn more and application what we learn. The collage is affiliated to makaut so exam pattern and curriculum selected by makaut . Curriculum of exam are change randomly by makaut but lots of time .
