Review of Government College Of Engineering, Aurangabad.
Placements: The college provides good placements but the packages offered are very limited. In our class, 80% of students are placed in core companies like Philips, L&T, Schindler's, and Johnson. Salary offered is in the range of 3 to 7 LPA, which is very low for postgraduate students. No internship was given by the college; we found it at our own college. We need to improve in this area.
Infrastructure: The college building is very old but it gets regular maintenance. Still, there are some issues with the infrastructure that need to be fixed. Our classrooms are good in the computer lab; all PCs have internet access. The hostel is very affordable; you do not get this kind of facility at these rates, but the food quality needs to improve.
Faculty: Teachers have a lot of experience but they do not deliver there knowledge to us. I don't know why, but it needs to be fixed. Our college is the only autonomous institute in our region; it is affiliated with BAMU University, so we conduct exams and design our curriculum on our own. Semester exams are very tough, and scoring good marks is even tougher.
Other: GECA is a government-affiliated autonomous institute in our region. It is a very famous college. Definitely, the college needs to work on infrastructure and faculty members.
