Government PG college Thalisain- is it worth to take admission or not?
Placements: I took admission in B.Sc. (ZBC) in this college back in 2018 and passed out in 2021. Back then, it was known as Government degree college Thalisain since their were only two UG courses: B.Sc. and B.A. But now their is a PG course that is also available as M.A. and soon they are introducing various new PG courses. This college is named as Government PG college Thalisain. To be honest, if you are looking for campus placement, then this college is not for you. Yes, you will get internships but all are unpaid.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are good, labs are in okay condition, classrooms are good, and almost every book related to your course is available in the college library. The hostel is under construction, and medical facilities are based on the first-aid kit model. Good for sports and games, college has its own playground.
Faculty: Teachers are well experienced and well qualified; most are Ph.D. holders, and they are friendly and helpful to the students. Semester exams are moderate to hard in terms of difficulty. You have to obtain at least 40 marks accumulated from the semester exams and the semester exam (theory marks). The minimum pass percentage is around 40%.
Other: I wanted to pursue my graduation near my home, so I chose this college and since I am from the science branch during school time, I chose B.Sc. as my course. The exam schedule should be improved, but this is not the fault of the colleges but of the university. Major events are the freshman party, the annual day, the farewell party and college games. The campus is located in a beautiful, hilly area. Nature is so soothing. Scholarships are provided by National Scholarship Portals.
