B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2019

Review of Government Engineering College, Jhalawar.
Placements: Students in our college didn't get placements. There are no companies for placements. Students can take placements if they have their own allied company in another way.
Infrastructure: There are no separate rooms for classrooms. In labs, no one can do experiments or projects as the staff in the lab don't know how to operate the machine. Library is not peaceful and no air-conditioning or separate room. Wi-Fi is always off and never worked. Hostel students face the worst conditions. There is no canteen. Mess food is the worst and can't eat regularly. There are no medical facilities, sports, and games.
Faculty: Permanent faculty was helpful to students but the temporary faculty does not help students. This curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are not more difficult, you can pass easily. If students want a good score in practical exams then they have a strong bond with their subject teacher.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a civil engineer. The best thing is that you got a government college degree which is better than private colleges. Many things these can better like posting of permanent faculty, qualified lab staff, and many other things. There are no events, fests, and extracurricular activities held in the college.

On average, our college is good.
Placements: The placements in our college were not conducted until the end of the academic year. Every student was afraid to get a good job. Internships in our college were provided. I am doing my internship in PWD Alwar, and my experience with placements was not good. The internship was good for me in PWD sector.
Infrastructure: Hostels are quite good here but not very much nice. The food served here is really nice.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very outdated here. Our university and the college are not taking any initiative to cope up with this problem. Still, students are studying service tax, excise duty and VAT, even after the introduction of GST. The faculty members of our college are very bad. They lack experience and are poor at making anything understandable to students. They were few in numbers. However, some of the teachers were very good and helpful in nature. Some teachers really want their students to get placed in good companies.
Other: Extracurricular activities were held in our college from time to time. Teachers conducted labs meetings with students. Together they performed practice and solved some tricky practices of chemistry. Sports activities in our college were good. Every sport was played by students like cricket, hockey, basketball, kho-kho, kabaddi, etc.

The college is good, but the location is not. Placements are not up to the mark.
Placements: I'm a student of 2015, civil engineering batch. Internships in our college are good, but the placement cell is bad. Not even one company came to our college for placement in 2015.
Infrastructure: The college is located outside the city, and you need to travel atleast 3-4 KM to get the basic facilities. The labs in our college for civil engineering department are number 1 in Rajasthan, but due to lesser facilities in our college, only a few practicals are done.
Faculty: At the time my batch passed out, only our HOD was a permanent faculty, and the others were guest faculty, who passed out from this college and other engineering colleges. The semester exams are not difficult, and you can pass easily even if you study one night before the exam. The best part is we have semester exams in the same classes where we attend lectures.
Other: I chose this course because there is a lot of scope for civil engineering, and I chose this college as it has good labs and instruments. Once a year, there is an event conducted in the college. Many seminars are conducted by different colleges from time to time.

Review of Government Engineering College, Jhalawar(GECJ).
Placements: Placements in our college are not satisfactory. Training and placement office is trying to improve placements from the last couple of years. Students attend pool campus placements conducted in different colleges as they get information from the training and placement office and other sources.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not up to the mark, and the facilities provided are not good. There is no canteen. The hostel needs regular maintenance, and the laboratory needs improvement. The new and latest collection of books is required in the library. The Wi-Fi facility doesn't work properly.
Faculty: After the National Programme Implementation Unit (NPIU), the academic conditions have been improved but are not enough. The course curriculum followed by the college needs to be improved. The faculty to student ratio is satisfactory. There is a need to arrange regular industrial visits.
Other: There are no regular events, but annual events are held. Until now, the college fest is not organised. The campus is satisfactory, but transportation is not available according to the college timings.

So the student are satisfied with our teachers. And placement level good.
Placements: In my college the placement facility are not available. Few companies was came before my tenure. In my college the highest placement salery is 3to 4lacs per annual and the lowest selery offered on my college is 1 lacs per annual. And 20 % of student get internship in my college.
Infrastructure: In my college the facility is perfect classrooms and well developed lab of all branches and play ground is available for student and food canteen is available in our college and various types of game play in our college for every month. And our college hostel is very good and food quality of my hostel food and canteen is too much very well.
Faculty: Our teachers are soo intelligent and knowelegible and every time support the students. My teachers teaching method is very good. And our teachers do practical wirk in my college and we go to servay or trip for practical in industrial areas. So teachers are very helpful to the students.
Other: Our college organize many event in my college. Campus condition is very well. Scholarship take our college for the students.

Very bad college of engineering. Don't take admission in this college.
Placements: There are no placements in this college. No company visit this college. The faculty members do not work for placements for the students and all the time they create pressure for students. Faculty members are doing more theory work and not doing practical work. So the placement percent is zero in this college
Infrastructure: The classroom condition is very bad and all the sports game not held at the college. There is no proper ground for sports. All the classrooms are not in a proper way which student's required. The library is the worst place in college, no books are available in them. Overall, the infrastructure is poor.
Faculty: The faculty members just hold a B.Tech degree and do not take part in extra activities. They will not even complete the first-semester course. They just time pass in college and don't take a good review from students. They have very poor knowledge of their subjects, and wrong methods are used in studies.
Other: No other activities are organised in college.

My college is average. Some good and some bad things are available.
Placements: There are no placements. No company came to my college after completing my B.Tech. A management company came, but I don't have interest in management work. Starting, some companies came to college, but after that, no companies came.
Infrastructure: Initially, there is no Wi-Fi facility, but after 1 or 2 years they provided that facility to the students. The classrooms are good, and the library facility is also good. There is no medical facility, but college management team holds sport and games. The quantity of the food available in the canteen is a little and not much more. Hostel rooms are not bad. I face problems related to the canteen because sometimes it will be close and the quality or the availability of the food is not good.
Faculty: In my college, the faculty are the main problem. Good faculty are not available, and some teachers are B.Tech graduates. They had no knowledge of any related topic. The teacher-student ratio is 1:15 student. I didn't get industry exposure.
Other: Many events are held at my college every year. The campus crowd is good. The connectivity is not good. The scholarship facility is available. Extracurricular activities are done by event management group.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of Everything about college.
Placements: There is no placement in this college. Last year a company named digital india visited the college and gives job of sales manager and field surveyor to the engineers. Once TCS also visited the campus and selected some students but after 3 to 4 years no joining letters are offered to them. TPO cell does not helps the students to get an internship.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is limited for the students as 500 MB data per day. Speed is also slow and most of the time Wi-Fi does not work due to technical problems as the staff. New building for library and computer lab is constructed last year. Library does not have good books in it and ot is full of many useless books. Sports and game facilities are worse in the college as there is no separate ground for cricket, football etc.
Faculty: Most of the college faculty is guest faculty and they have ego problems with students and fellow teachers. As I heard this year college is taken under NIT suratkhal and some good faculty members comes to the college. This is the only good news about college.
Other: College organises its annual fest once in 2-3 years in which crowd of police constables are more then the students.
