B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2029
4.2
Satisfied with the college.
Placements: Students with no backlogs and a score above 6 CGPA can easily get an internship with a good salary. The average package is 3.5 LPA, the highest is 9 LPA, and the lowest is 1.2 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys and TatvaSoft have ties with the college. Most of the students get internships. My course offers roles like VLSI and Embedded Systems Engineering.
Infrastructure: There are 2 labs both have ACs and Acer computers with AMD Ryzen 5000 series. Wi-Fi is available but only for staff and lab purposes. The computers are powerful enough to run 3D Modelling (moderate). There's a common library available for all students on campus. The canteen is very satisfactory and clean. There's a hall with a 10 ton AC which is under construction right now.
Faculty: Teachers are always ready to help whenever they're available or free. They have better knowledge than any other professional people I've seen on YouTube. The course they teach us is very relevant and it does make students industry-ready. Talking about semester exams they are taken by GTU so the college does not have the power to make papers.
Other: Just don't argue with professors if you're not sure about the topic you are arguing about. Accept your faults and mistakes. If you need anything from the lab for your projects, you can use the laboratory and its tools to make your projects. You can just ask your respective professor to get a permit to use it.

Good academics and campus at Government Engineering College Patan, with average placements.
Placements: I was an ECE student from the Government Engineering College, Patan. Around 70% students were placed. The highest package was 10 LPA, the lowest was 2.5 LPA, and the average was 4-5 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS and Infosys. About 60% got internships in BSNL. Top roles offered were Developer and Engineer.
Infrastructure: At Government Engineering College Patan, ECE had good labs, Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and a rich library. Hostel facilities were decent, and the mess food was average. Basic medical support was available, and sports like cricket and football were provided. This is the best college.
Faculty: At Government Engineering College Patan, teachers were qualified and helpful, with good teaching quality. The course curriculum was relevant and industry-oriented, with a pass percentage of around 80-85%. Teachers were very knowledgeable in teaching methods and easy to understand.
Other: At Government Engineering College Patan, I chose ECE for core + software scope. The best part was practical learning and opportunities. Fests and activities were good. The campus was decent, but placements and infrastructure can be improved.

Government Engineering College, Patan.
Placements: 70% of students got placement in my course. The maximum package is 9 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Every student in our department got an off-campus internship. There are many roles available, both in hardware and software.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the college, but you need to ask your faculty members for the password. There are 5 to 6 labs in my department, and classrooms are equipped with projectors. The library is housed in a separate building, accessible to students from all departments as per schedule. There are separate hostels for girls and boys, each with its own mess. The rooms and the campus are fully air-conditioned. Each room has a balcony, and there are three-sharing rooms with secured wardrobes, study tables and chairs, and beds. Wi-Fi is also available in the girls' hostel. Students in the hostel celebrate festivals and parties together, and the atmosphere is good. Ragging does not occur, and the security in the girls' hostel is also good. However, the boys' hostel is slightly messier compared to the girls' hostel.
Faculty: The faculty members are fully qualified in their respective domains and subjects; they hold Master’s degrees. They are also helpful in real-world applications apart from academics. Their teaching methods are good, but sometimes you need to complete the remaining syllabus on your own. This course has a substantial syllabus and many subjects, but you need to learn more to increase your overall package. End-term exams are conducted by GTU, making them harder than those at private universities, with an 80% passing percentage.
Other: I loved designing circuits and working on them, which is why I chose electronics and communication. The best thing about this course is the high demand for EC engineers, so if you have potential and interest, go for it. It would be great if some current technologies were included in the course, benefiting both students and the industry. Events and fests occur in college, and several clubs and societies run by students, such as NSS, Code Hives, Cultural Committee, and Sports Committee, are active. Many students participate in national events from the college. There are various scholarships available. For the general category, there is Digital Gujarat, and students from SC, ST, and OBC categories receive scholarships ranging from 25k to 30k INR. Other scholarships are available for students whose fathers work in sectors related to home making (e.g., furniture), providing scholarships of 25k INR.

Satisfied with the college faculty and the education.
Placements: We do not have the placement facilities like other colleges when we are studying. There are no placements in our college. Maybe 1 or 2 companies visit our college to take an interview. Only one of our classmates got the job in it. Our college provides many details of a new job opening.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was very good. There are different buildings for every department. We have all the facilities like big labs, good classrooms, sports grounds, etc. There was also a hostel in our college. There was a separate hostel for both boys and girls. Rooms and other facilities in the hostel were good.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were very helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified. The teaching quality was very good. All the faculty members provide practical knowledge which is useful for us. Our course curriculum was decided by Gujarat Technology University, which is very good and helpful.

Very much satisfied with the college infrastructure and professors.
Placements: TCS, Infotech, Einfochips and many other such companies from all over India have come for placements. Many students have been placed, and due to this our college is ranked in a higher position. Now our college is beating other self-financed universities, so students should take admission here.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is superb. It has superb architecture and has different sports activities inside. There are air-conditioners, and there are also different things to do on campus. We have all types of facilities, and our college is better than other self-financed universities.
Faculty: Our college has professors who have many degrees, and they are a guru in their subjects. We all have superb coordination with them, and they solve all our doubts. All the faculty members are extraordinary, and we all have great respect for them.
Other: We have a scholarship programme, and tech fest and sports week are also conducted.

A very good engineering college in terms of faculty, study, placement, extracurricular activities.
Placements: There are good placements held in our college every year. Many companies are coming to our college with good opportunities for students. Every year, the respective companies choose students as per their requirements. First, the aptitude test is taken by the college, then the students who cracked that test are applicable for group discussion and then good performers are applicable for the personal interview.
Infrastructure: Our college has very good infrastructure with respect to all other north Gujarat engineering college. Our college is maintaining cleanliness on a regular basis. There is a good facility of laboratory for the particular department. Our college has a very large library of respective engineering streams and all other knowledgeable activities.
Faculty: Our college has highly qualified faculty members. They all are graduated from best colleges in our country. They all are very helpful and very kind in nature. All the faculty members of respective departments are very active in all fields of engineering. Our college is having a very good bunch of faculty members.
Other: The government engineering college, Patan has arranged tech fest, a workshop for a particular engineering course, annual function, sports week, days celebration, national days celebration every year. There are also other extracurricular activities held in our college on a regular basis.

A good college for pursuing bachelor's. The placements are good and the facilities are average.
Placements: The placement cell was active in our college. The placement was given to almost all the students. Nearly 70 to 80% of the students got placed in their respective areas of interest. The highest salary package offered was around 50 lakhs per annum, and the lowest salary was around Rs.50,000 per month and the average salary offered was 1 lakh per month. Many big companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tata etc., visited our college for placements. The students have got very high position or post in their respective job profiles. Almost all the students got the internship. The highest stipend was Rs. 30,000 per month, the minimum was Rs. 5000 and the average stipend was Rs. 15,000.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. The basic facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, sports etc. are offered. There is a lack of library and medical facilities in our college. The quality of labs and classrooms are good. The quality of food served in the canteen is average. The hostel rooms are good enough to live. Not many facilities are available except Wi-Fi and food, the infrastructure in the hostel is good. The only issue is that the bathrooms are always in the pathetic condition. Nobody cares to clean it up.
Faculty: My experience with the faculty members was also very good. They were very helpful and kind. They are very much knowledgeable, experienced, highly qualified from the reputed universities. The basic teaching methods were used. In some cases, projectors were also used. The student to faculty ratio is good. The industry visit was also conducted in our college. The course curriculum is indeed very useful.
