Review of Government Engineering College, Patan.

Placements: Approximately 50% of the students were placed in our batch. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.6 LPA. There were many companies, but the top company was Eheurstic and Computer Mania. Almost 70% of the students got internships. Roles offered were as manager, assistant, or junior.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is astonishing with all the high-tech facilities for students and faculty members. There are different blocks for different streams, and the campus is environment-friendly. Classrooms and auditoriums are centrally air-conditioned, and there are sports grounds and other facilities.

Faculty: Our teachers were well-educated and graduated, and they were very knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was outstanding. The course makes students industry-ready. Exams were not difficult for students like me as I am clever in my studies. Exams were pretty difficult.

This college is really affordable for economically poor students. Faculty members are good.

Placements: I am now studying in this college, but I know some of our seniors who passed out from this college. They used to tell me that very few companies offer you placements because it is a government college. However, when you attend an interview in the company, then you can get your job. But it's not easy to find a good job.

Infrastructure: I did not visit the college many times, but I understand that it's a very old college. However, it has good facilities. The location of our college is in a rural area, so there is a poor network connection. The hostel location is exactly beside the college gate. It is a huge campus but has small parking.

Faculty: Faculty members here are paid by the government, so it is actually nice. At exam time, some of the faculty members are annoying, but it is fine. The exams system is managed by GTU, so it's the same as all Gujarat Technology University colleges. Moreover, faculty members had lots of knowledge and were helpful.

Good for study with good faculty.

Placements: Being government college the infrastructure is quite good. Department are enabled with Wi-Fi. The provision of Wi-Fi all over is under process. Class room are very good, and the labs are also fine. The college includes different workshop likes foundry, siemens labs, fluid mechanics, hydraulic machine etc. All classroom are smart class and well suited for educational environment.

Infrastructure: The campus is huge and is very scenic, college almost covers 450 acres of land surrounded by greenery and having a good environment all over the college. It also includes hostel and mess facilities. There are many clubs that you can join as per your interests.

Faculty: While the lowest salary package offered was 3 lacs. Some of the recruiting companies for our colleges are vedanta, L&T, TATA steel, aditya birla, jindal steel etc. The training and placement cell of this college is very efficient and useful. The student in the cell contact different companies and invite them to college.

Other: I'm student of B.Tech in chemical engineering. The quality of teaching faculties is good in their respective field. The curriculum are upto date we are also offered many extra curricular activities which many help us to build up a practical knowledge about it.

It is a good college, but the campus is not good.

Placements: The college has good placements record. Companies like TCS, Eagle Infra, Wipro, etc., visit the college for placement. Students get pre-placement training so that they don't have to face the problem. Placements are good, and it totally depends on students skills. Students can easily get the placement if they have a good academic record because, without knowledge, no company is going to recruit.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very much eco-friendly and good, and the Wi-Fi facility is available in our college. The college gives me the opportunity to grab the position in various activities. The college fees are also affordable. The college life is also vibrant and active, and it also has a lot of cool cafes nearby to hang out as well.

Faculty: College is good, and it is one of the very well known and reputed college in Mumbai and has amazing teaching faculty with the best alumni network which helps students to learn, grow and develop overall in the legal field. The college provides the best opportunities to be a part of this college. Faculty members are superb, and they all have a great experience in practical and theoretical knowledge. It is one of the best colleges in term of study.

Other: I have chosen this course because the civil course is good at this college.

An awesome college in nature's lap.

Placements: There are more placement chances for mechanical and civil branches, and it depends on the training and placement officer. Last year, a group of companies were called for placement in the civil department. They picked up some students who are interested to attend the interviews.

Infrastructure: The college has a huge infrastructure and it is situated away from the highway, and because of this, it has a peaceful environment. The different trades have different department buildings. All the departments are same in design and it consists of classrooms and laboratories as well.

Faculty: Talking about faculty, I would like to say that all the faculty have passed out from GPSC and apart from these some are pursuing Ph.D. also. Somehow most of the faculty members are doing Ph.D. side by side in there trade line and all are experts in solving any kind of problem.

Other: There are several social events in our college and technical events such as tree plantation, tech festival, women empowerment programs, and other welfare functions. The seminars and workshops are held in our college.

Satisfied with my college work because their fee is low and the faculty team is good

Placements: In our college, many seminars were conducted for interview-facing and also the placements in our campus were conducted, and also, the students got the internship. In this year, only limited 50 students participated in the interview. This limit was fixed by the faculty members. The total number of students in the final batch is 75 with including D2D students. The placement was conducted and out of this 20 students are selected for the job. I started my bachelor in engineering in the year 2015.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. In our college, we have five courses including civil, mechanical, electrical, computer and electronics and communication. The college has their own department for all the courses. All departments are separated to each other. The college has a library, a gymkhana, an amenities block and an administrative office.

Faculty: In our college, five courses are conducted including civil, mechanical, electrical, computer and EC. The faculty team is permanent with visiting faculty members. Recently, many professors are coming as permanent faculty members but many students are irregular. They do not come daily. Many students come in the starting of the semester. After the mid-semester exams, the college is empty.

We have very well-experienced faculty members.

Placements: In 2022, almost 10-15% of students were placed at our college. The highest salary package offered is 3 LPA and the average package offered is 2 LPA. All the top Ahmedabad companies visited to recruit this year, but almost all of them left barehanded. Top roles offered by those companies are site engineers.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our Government Engineering College is very good, with excellent facilities. Facilities like Wi-Fi, a projector in every classroom, and air-conditioned seminar halls in each department. Labs are available with all equipment in working condition. The hostel facilities are good.

Faculty: Our faculty members in our college are very well experienced, and all are class II officers. They are very good teachers. Along with the theoretical knowledge, they provide us with practical knowledge as well. The course is based at the Gujarat Technological University.
