Pros and cons of the Government Engineering College, Thrissur.

Faculty: We have well-qualified and helpful teachers. Most of the faculty are nice and approachable, talking about the curriculum, we follow the APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (KTU), which comes with a whole package of theory plus practical lab sessions along with other specialized subjects too. Semester exams aren't that tough, everyone could pass average, if u learn. Students have been reporting to update the curriculum to a more job-oriented way rather than just mugging up on theory texts

Really good infrastructure, faculty members are good, and placement is also good.

Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and well-experienced, with many from NIT/IIT. Faculty members are student-friendly and very supportive. In civil department, faculty members are strict and well-experienced. The curriculum is revamped to bridge the academic-industry gap.

It is a very affordable & good engineering college.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective domains. The teaching quality depends on the professor; some professors teach us in a very interesting manner. The course curriculum was relevant. Students were trained for industry jobs. Semester exams were moderate.

It is the second most-ranked college in Kerala under KTU University.

Faculty: Faculty here is also pleasant. Each department has its own faculty. Exams are conducted strictly and supervised. Faculty keeps reminding us about our KTU exam registrations in time. They also share news of internships and workshops in the WhatsApp group. Overall, they are very helpful.

It has a strong infrastructure, good faculty, and decent placement rates.

Faculty: Very helpful and highly qualified faculty members are available here. Students can easily understand the topics. The course curriculum is outdated and not relevant to the current industry. It provides practical training and projects in the curriculum. Exams are moderately easy. Students can score high marks.

My honest review of my college.

Faculty: The best feature of the college is the faculty members. Everyone has a grip on every subject. Since it is a government college, getting in as a faculty happens only if we are really talented, and there are no questions about the quality of teaching. The semester-end examination has a 100-mark question pattern, and we can answer any 5 questions by choosing at least one question from each module. All questions carry equal (20) marks. Internal continuous assessment is in the form of periodical test...

My honest review of my college.

Faculty: The syllabus is industrial and the scope of research is there. One of the main parts of the course is year long project which has got the most credit. The lab facilities available are very good with well-knowledgeable staff. Also, good placement training is given. 30 staff in my department with an average age of 45. Most of the lectures had industrial experience. They are good at giving clarity about the subjects. In the final year projects, they do a great job by giving us proper guidance for t...

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are very well but on average we can say our teacher came in a week for one time for one lecture and the teachers are well in nature. They make our company ready and the difficult level of semester exams easy to moderate and the passing percentage of students is about 98%.

Absolutely dissatisfied from the placement.

Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and professional. The course curriculum is updated, but it needs more industry-oriented practical exposure. Regular internal assessments also help students pass their exams, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 75 percent.

It has really good infrastructure and facilities.

Faculty: Faculty members here are so helpful, and they all have a great education. Most of them are well-experienced and knowledgeable. One negative fact is that the course curriculum does not build an industry-ready product. Semester exams are a bit tougher compared with other courses in the college. The pass percentage is around 75%.

Review of Government Engineering College, Thrissur.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and have good skills in teaching. As a government college classes are often less. But the quality of classes is too good. Most of them pass exams. Labs are little bit difficult. There are regular viva and record submissions in lab.

I am absolutely satisfied with the college.

Faculty: Teachers here are very experienced and highly educated. Semester exams depend on what course we choose and how we study. It is a very good place to study and enjoy our college life. We will have a great experience studying here. Faculty members are also reputed.

Faculty: Faculty and tutors are really good and supportive in every case, like for studies, financially, and to support the team. They teach well and are honest in their job. The semester exams are quite easy to moderate. The pass percentage remains constant, with an average number of students passing.

It is a good college for studies.

Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and qualified. Most of the teachers have enough qualifications and experience in the field of civil engineering. The courses are accurate and relevant it meet the study for industrial exposure. The semesters were moderate to difficult.
