Honest review of Government Engineering College, Thrissur.
Placements: There were almost 60 students in my class and many of them got placed in top companies like TTE, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Gulf Asian, etc. The lowest package was 4 LPA, and the highest was 12 LPA. Around 16% students got internship opportunities in Redbus, Simple Energy Pvt. Ltd., etc.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi availability everywhere in the college and even in the hostel. The labs are well maintained and we also have a central library. The hostel is affordable but being in PG has a much higher rate. Hostel food is tolerable and we have all the outdoor sports facilities, including football, basketball, etc.
Faculty: Almost all the tutors are IIT graduates and they teach well. The curriculum was almost half practical and half theoretical so that we could develop skills in both fields. Semester exams are sometimes tough and sometimes easy and the pass percentage is 45%.
Other: Mechanical engineering has a big scope so we can switch into any field whenever. I wish to include more practicality in the curriculum so that the students will be industry-ready. The campus is jolly and so much fun, including cultural festivals and all.

Short review on Government Engineering College, Wayanad.
Placements: The placement rate at our college is very low. Although it is improved by the placement cell, it is still not up to par. The core branch students hardly have any placements. All the placements are there for the computer science students. Even ECE students are placed as software engineers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is comparatively low. Although it's high altitude and the climate could have natural beauty, it's still hard to reach the location. No train services are available here. The food is highly recommended. The hostel is well run.
Faculty: The teachers at our institution are highly helpful. They provide study materials based on the previous year's university exam. The curriculum is updated every four years, so it keeps on updating. The semester examinations are not something that an average student can pass.
Other: I chose this course I had a great interest in electronics field. The best part of my course is that it is very relevant in this modern world. There are many events in our college. Tech fests, arts fests, sports fests, etc. are organized.

The Engineering College of Thrissur has its own charm.
Placements: Approximately 85% of our batch gets placed every year, with a decent average package of INR 4.5 lacs. The top recruiting companies are IBM, HCL, and Accenture. The internship for the batch starts in August every year. The roles offered were consultant, project manager, and financial analyst.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our batch were well-maintained hostel rooms, and the college provided us with a full wi-fi-enabled campus. The food quality in the mess is not good, and the canteen does not have variety in its menu. The hostel has first aid kits available to us 24 hours a day.
Faculty: The total number of teachers in our college is 90, and teachers from all walks of life are here, making the student life of the campus industry relevant. The students get ready by the end of the 3rd year, and they get industry exposure because of internships. Also, faculty members are always up for guidance.

A glimpse of GEC Thrissur.
Placements: The placement opportunities at our college are excellent. Here, placement opportunities are offered around the middle of the 5th and 6th semesters for B.Tech courses. The highest package offered came to around 40 LPA. The average package offered here comes down to around 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college facilities provided are all excellent. There is ample space for a wide variety of activities in our college. The hostel's facilities are also great and affordable for students. The food served in the canteen is hygienic and of good quality.
Faculty: Our faculty at GECT are very knowledgeable and experienced. The teaching quality is also of a high standard. The KTU syllabus is rather outdated and irrelevant these days, especially for first-year students. The semester exams conducted are moderate, with a very good pass percentage.

Mechanical engineering at GEC THRISSUR.
Placements: I am a second year mechanical engineering student and the placements process hasn’t started for us yet. As of the previous trends, the average package was 6 Lacs and the lowest was about 4 Lacs. The percentage of the students getting placed may vary from branch to branch.
Infrastructure: Each department is equipped with classrooms having necessary equipments like projectors, speakers, microphones, etc. Free Wi-Fi is available for the students across the college campus and the hostels. Each department has their own labs, libraries and other facilities. The hostels are very nice and spacious, the mess is not so bad, both vegetarian and non vegetarian options are available for the students.
Faculty: The teachers are very well qualified with each of them having done their PGs and PhDs. Their teaching quality is good and easy to understand. The course is, in my opinion, a little outdated. The difficulty level of each semester varies based on the knowledge you have about the basics. If your basics are thorough, the first year will be considerably be easier than the rest of the course.
