Overall, I am satisfied with my college, although there are some short, such as language issues.
Placements: My batch 1st-year MBBS has a strength of 250 students. Most of my batchmates are day scholars or are from different districts of West Bengal. A few of us are from other states AIQ Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Every student gets an internship at the end of the MBBS course.
Infrastructure: Since my college was established in 1835, which makes it the oldest medical college in all of Asia, you can't expect that much better infrastructure compared to other newly established colleges. But, it still has its own historic vibe, and the patient load here is very high. Talking about other facilities, the library is well-maintained with free Wi-Fi facility and AC services. Labs are also highly equipped. Hostels are not up to the mark, as you have to share your room with at least two or three people, but some of the new hostels are very good.
Faculty: The best thing about this college is that professors are very helpful. They are highly knowledgeable and well-qualified. They personally provide counseling for us regarding our studies, tests, and future plans, and they also give suggestions based on our needs. The semester exams are quite difficult compared to the final university exams. You have to score at least 50% in total.
Other: Becoming a doctor is my childhood dream, so I never have any other plans than MBBS. The best thing about my course is that it not only makes you a better doctor but also a more responsible person and teaches you how to handle pressure situations. Since my college is located in the crowded city of Kolkata, there isn't a single playground for students. I would also suggest that we should have a personal college campus free of patients, and the college should organize fests and various co-curricular activities for students.

From all points of view, this college teaches us how to enjoy and study parallelly.
Placements: 45 percent were placed, with the highest package being 3-4 crore, the lowest between 10-15 lakh, and the average 20 lakh. 90 percent of students got internships from my course, and some work in the same college. Here, every student is very talented, and the faculty also helps us improve our skills, which helps in various fields.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is very good. Free Wi-Fi is available in the library full day. The labs are okay for doing experiments. The classrooms are also good. A digital board is available. The library is also good for study
Hostel is average as other hostels. The food quality is not so good in the mess. There is a ground in the hostel where every game is played: cricket, badminton, football, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are qualified, and every senior faculty has completed their degrees. They give us good knowledge. The teaching style is very nice, and students try to attend class. Yes, it is a good platform which makes a student ready for semester exams.
Semester exams are difficult, and the pass mark is 50 percent.
Other: Because I dream of becoming a good doctor and, besides money, to serve people. The best thing about my course is to see smiles on people's faces after gaining a second life.

Absolutely satisfied, as it always produce great ranks in NEET PG.
Placements: More than 75% students are eligible to their PG course, as the college is famous for academics. Students from our college have great ranks in their PG Entrance, and make the college always proud. Overall, the college is the best.
Infrastructure: The institution is renowned for its availability of many hostels. Most of the students get hostels to stay, and have a good life in the college. Hostels have Wi-Fi facilities. Hostel fees is also nominal. Good food quality at affordable price.
Faculty: All the teachers are good. They are qualified from reputed institutes and also teach carefully to the their students. Semester questions are of the same level of university exam. So, they are helpful for the students. Students have great bond with the professors.

An oldest Asian College.
Placements: There is no such type of placements in the college as it is a Medical College. The college provides compulsory one year internship to students inside the college campus. The internships makes the student exposed to various cases which will make them an experienced doctor in future.
Infrastructure: The College has quite a good infrastructure. The classrooms or the lecture theatre are air conditioned with a microphone and projector. The Library has Wi-Fi connection and also the books are updated. The hostels are also quite good with all the required facilities available for the students.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. The teachers follow the competency medical curriculum which makes the students industry ready. The semesters are quite tough to pass but the pass percentage is good.
Other: I chose this course because my dream was to pursue MBBS. The course is good but there is pressure in it. The annual freshers event is held in the college which is known as Alapan.

Government Medical College, Kolkata is a good college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The hostel is very neat and clean. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. There are many hostels. Maximum students get hostel facilities. Hostel facilities are good.
Faculty: A total of 9 semesters are taken in 4 years, and there are four professional examinations. Three exams are in the first year, two in the second year, and two in the third. As we all know, MBBS is not an easy course. So you have to work hard.
Other: To get a degree like this is to serve people. I would like to be a part of this noble profession. Here you can interact with others very easily. Above all, the senior-junior relationship is good here.

This is the oldest heritage of Asia established in 1835 and it is the top medical college of Bengal.
Placements: There are about 250 students from all over India. But mainly bengalis are here. So, Bengal is used as a second language for teaching. However, Hindi speaking students are also seen. Many students of Kolkata prefer this college over AIIMS. I am proud to be a part of one of the best medical colleges in India.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The campus is regularly cleaned. Our college has the largest gyanocologist ward all over Asia (Eden hospital). There are 4 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels for MBBS students. You will see the combination of ancient and modern technology in its infrastructure. But, there is no playground or a gym.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good but as a Hindi speaking student, in the starting, it was very difficult to understand long lectures which include Bengal language. But we know that language problem will be faced when you choose the best colleges out of your state. Exams are taken regularly.
Other: The patient load of this college is very high. This is the best medical college in West Bengal. All the departments of this college are well developed.

It is the oldest medical college in Asia (est.1834).
Placements: We have 250 students in each batch. It's a government medical college. We get approximately Rs. 30,000 during the internship. After passing MBBS, we become general physicians and can appear in NEET PG and can pursue a post-graduation degree in MS/MD/DNB in particular subjects.
Infrastructure: We have an excellent library (9 am-6 pm) with an unlimited number of medical books. Labs for each department are ventilated well and have adequate resources to teach the students. The hostel mess is quite good (we get breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner) at a minimal price (Rs.35-60).
Faculty: Teachers are well trained in MD, MS, and DNB with several years of experience. NMC determines the curriculum, which is well designed with the future of the doctor-patient relationship in mind. Semester examinations are a bit difficult if compared to the final MB paper. (50% is the pass percentage).
Other: It was my dream to be a successful doctor. We get a freshers' party. An annual fest is organised by our seniors.
Every year we celebrate festivals like Saraswati Puja, Holi, and Durga Puja on our campus. Sports and cultural events are also organised, like football and dance competitions.

MCK is the prime destination for MBBS.
Placements: We are 185th batch of Medical College, Kolkata. Presently we are running with our full capacity of 250 seats per year and around 95-98% of us will get internshipS for sure. The paying scale of an intern is Rs. 30,000 per month in west Bengal and may differ in other states. Generally, the paying salary of an MBBS graduate is around Rs. 60,000 - Rs. 75,000 per month in West Bengal, but in some states, it is lower and for some, it is higher than that.
Infrastructure: Medical College Kolkata is India's first medical college. The rich heritage drives many talented minds every year to study medicine and surgery in our college from across India. Presently we have 2 lecture theatres and one is under construction. Teacher-student ratio is excellent. Labs are good. Library is air-conditioned. We have 5 boys and 1 girls hostel for undergraduate students. Canteen and mess is excellent too. As it is a medical college so you need not worry about your medical facilities. All kinds of indoor and outdoor sports is played by us.
Faculty: Our college is best known for its academics. Here the students are keen and the faculty members are always ready to clear your doubts. As the MBBS degree itself is a professional course, so students are always ready to serve. Semester exams are always tough, but you will pass with flying colors.
Other: MBBS is not just a course and MCK is not just a college, it is a Think School. A thought process that will push you to think about you, your surroundings, your impact on your society, economics, and environment, the fragile infrastructure of our health system and that will drive you to do your job more honestly, and m
Will make you responsible citizen of India. Here we celebrate every event is like a festival from Alapan to Floresco to Rhapsody. The meaning of "living" here is something else. So come, join us and make MCK proud.
