Amazing college, staff, hospital, infrastructure, location (800m marina beach), would recommend.
Placements: It's a medical college, and is not based on placements. We do not get placed unless we do PG from another college by writing NEET PG or any other exams like USMLE, PLAB, etc., abroad. It doesn't run on placements. The roles offered would be for PGs as interns or professors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good as it's a new college. It's only 11 years old, there's AC in classrooms and certain parts of the hospital. We have an adequate library. Hostels have either 2 or 3 sharing rooms and are spacious, but they don't have AC. The mess food is very good, we get non-veg food almost every day with a minimal mess bill. For a medical facility, the hospital is open 24/7. We have a huge ground with a volleyball and basketball court.
Faculty: The faculty members are very experienced and help you study. They are very kind and approachable if we need any help. They are very knowledgeable, the curriculum followed is given by MGR University, and we follow that to a fault. They make sure to teach us everything relevant to our subject and to apply it. We have exams every week, ensuring that we are ready to conquer our huge syllabus little by little. The exams are very tough as it's an MBBS course, but we can pass if we study. We have 100% pass rate as all students have high scores on NEET.
Other: I really like the MBBS course as it is a very interesting course, and you learn so much, and you get so much respect. It is a very tough course. I'd like fewer exams to decrease the stress from exams. We have an event every month, almost; we study hard and party harder. The fees are nominal, but there are still scholarships available.

Good infrastructure and facilities, and it is the 4th top medical college in Tamil Nadu.
Placements: Each batch has 100 students. The college is established in 2015 and is a government medical college. The total course duration is 5 and 1/2 years. You get the degree certificate after completing the course and officially become a doctor. You have to prepare for NEET PG for further higher studies.
Infrastructure: As it is a new college, the infrastructure of both the college and hostel is good. The library can accommodate up to 50 people and provides access to institutional books. The canteen and mess food are good. The mess is organized by students, which leads to better quality food. Classrooms are provided with fans and ACs. There is a ground available for volleyball, football, and basketball.
Faculty: Teachers are all professional doctors. The standard of teaching is good. The course curriculum covers all topics necessary to become a successful doctor. AETCOM and communication skills are also taught. Dr. MGR University conducts exams every year, and detailed information is available on the official website of Dr. MGR University.
Other: There is no overcrowding, and there is a good in-patient flow, which helps students learn more about different cases. The campus is very small compared to other medical colleges. There is no auditorium, and very few events are conducted.

Infrastructure is good.
Placements: Students got placed in AIIMS and JIPMER with 100%. MBBS, DMLT, and Physician Assistant courses are offered. Postgraduate courses for many departments are also available from the previous year.
Infrastructure: Our classroom is super clean. There is construction work going on in restroom which is so dirty. Classrooms have AC and are completely ventilated. There is no Wi-Fi facility. We have labs for respective departments. We have library with lots of books to refer. We have students running hostel. The menu is decided by students based on the hostel council members from each batch. We have a separate ground to play. Also, we have team to make students play every evening. Hostel is more clean than any hostel in the whole of Tamil Nadu. I swear.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified as per the department and are very knowledgeable. Many professor are too old so they can share their experience with us which makes it very helpful. Questions are rated from easy to difficult level depending on the subject we deal with.
Other: Becoming a doctor is a dream for anyone and I'm one of them. Making the subject more clinical than being theories. According to the recent curriculum, we have equal theory and clinical but according to me, it is better to have more clinical classes than theory.

Good infrastructure and great faculty members make us recommend this college.
Placements: Many students from our college have been selected for PG seats in the next academic year through NEET PG. Patient flow is good enough so that the interns can learn what they need.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are maintained well and the infrastructure is good. Hostel rooms are also good. Library is present with plenty of books. Food in the mess is far better than other hostel foods. All the instruments for learning are available in all departments.
Faculty: This is a government college, and we need to score more than 50% in all subjects. MGR University question papers are given. Teachers teach the subjects excellently. The planning of schedule and teaching methods are very good and well-executed. Every department is well responsible in their work. Professors are so kind and patient and the teaching is very well.

Omandurar Medical College, Chennai, all you need to know.
Placements: There are 100 students in the class. This is a government college so the fee structure is very much affordable. There are so many scholarships available for students, and the internship is mandatory for every student passing the final year exams. There are other courses like MLT and paramedics courses too.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and labs are quite good, but there is no free Wi-Fi available for the students both in college and hostel. The hostels are good, but some issues with rates is the major concern; there will be a monthly ₹1500 rental for the mess, and it will be around ₹3000 to ₹4000 which may vary each month.
Faculty: As this is a government college, the professors are very much qualified and enthusiastic to teach and help. The academics are also good, and we will be conducting certain workshops in the college every year. The exams will be yearly as per scheduled by MGR University, and there will be monthly assessments too; the pass percentage is by NMC guidelines.
Other: I took MBBS to become a doctor as we can serve as well as make money. In this college, there will be yearly cultural and sports events which are the major ones, and also minor events like ethnic day, hostel day, Onam, etc. As this is a government college, scholarships for SC, ST, and economically backward students will also get scholarships.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty members, facilities and good passing percentage of the students.
Placements: I am a third year student. I will pass out from this college in 2026. The students of this college are eligible for working as general practitioners in any hospital. For working in any government hospital, we have to clear UPSE. For getting PG admission, we have to clear NEET PG. About 90 percent of the students are capable of achieving this.
Infrastructure: We have a good library with lots of academic books. The lecture halls are air conditioned. We have a separate lab, demo and library for each department. Hostel is neat and clean. We have both triple and double sharing rooms available with furnitures. Mess is run by the students. The food available here is good and tasty. We have both veg and non veg menu.
Faculty: This is a government college. The faculty members are highly efficient. The curriculum is based on CBME. We have proper assessments and evaluations. We have practical and clinical sessions daily which enhance our skills. We have yearly exams conducted by MGR University. It is moderate to hrd level. The passing percentage is good.
Other: I am a students of 2021 batch. I will pass out from this college in 2026. We will have good opportunities after completing this course. Our college conducts inter-college academic events, culturals, sports and workshops in every subjects. The college is situated at the centre of city which makes it an attraction of the city. We have Eco club, Redcross, and NSS in the college.

The best college in Chennai.
Placements: It is a medical institute so there are no placements. For medical institute, every student who passes all the years, gets a medical degree and further applies for government jobs or in a private hospital as a doctor. The doctors get many options after completing this course.
Infrastructure: The college is good and the infrastructure is also good, but the college campus is a little bit small. The classrooms are good in condition with proper facilities and air conditioning. The hostel is also good and well maintained. They charge separately for the hostel.
Faculty: The professors are very helpful and provide proper information about the topics and subjects. For every 10 students, there is one professor who guides them for their academics. The semester exams conducted by the college are a little hard but you can easily pass. The passing percentage is above 95% in our college.
Other: MBBS is one of the best courses nowadays and it is a dream of every student. In my batch, there are 100 students and it is very less crowded. Our college conducts many events, cultural fest and other extra activities.

Government college with good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: We've just had our first batch pass out and are doing their internship. As of now, we don't know about PG seat placements but the pass percentage is good for every year. The hospital was dedicated for Covid-19 treatment and hence most of the present interns have an experience in epidemic management in addition to the normal hospital proceedings and clinical cases.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent. It is a fully air conditioned college and hospital, the only problem being that if any of the ACs stop working we don't have fans to compensate till the issue is resolved. The equipment and labs are all new and in good condition. The lecture halls are spacious and comfortable. There is a somewhat well stocked libraries sufficient for the present strength of the college which is being constantly updated and improved. Own book reading rooms and internet rooms are also available. The hostel rooms are also new and in good condition. Issues take a while to get addressed but they do get addressed. The mess menu is mostly decided by students and the food is of commendable quality especially for a government college mess. The college also has a canteen attached to the cooperative stores which is open till late evening. We have a sports ground behind the campus which is still being developed and as of now has a proper basketball court and has facilities for badminton, throw ball and futsal among others with promises of future improvement.
Faculty: The professors are all highly qualified with experience working in top colleges including M.M.C. The teaching quality is also top notch. Like any medical college, the clinical experience depends on the interest shown by the students more than anything else but most of the professors do give their best in making sure we don't miss the significant and important cases. We are taught as well as asked to perform all the clinical examinations while taking case histories from the 1st clinical year itself which is a good learning opportunity if you use it well.
Other: We conduct a bunch of extracurricular activities including cultural and sports day as well as hostel day. We conducted our first intercollegiate event last year and we regularly help and cooperate with government sponsored health related programmes and events. We've also been part of CIYF. There are also a bunch of other intra-college events and quizzes.
