    My medical education
Placements: In our batch, there are no placement opportunities. Instead, there is an internship. We get to do one year of internship in our hospital itself. During this period, we will be given a stipend of about twenty-five thousand. We will be posted in different departments such as medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college is a well-developed college with fine infrastructure. Our classes have centralized AC. We have many additional buildings such as a gym, central lab, indoor stadium, and many auditoriums, etc. I'm staying in a government hostel, and in my hostel room, there are four members. The hostel mess is of high quality.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified doctors specialized in their respective departments. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Our course runs under the CBME curriculum, which stands for Competency-Based Medical Education. We have continuous class tests here. They are often very difficult.
Other: I chose this course randomly just based on my NEET rank. But now I really like my course and college. There are so many events and fests in the college. Our college gives much importance to extracurricular activities as much as academics. There are so many scholarships available, such as eGrantz.

    Government Medical College, Thrissur.
Placements: We have a class strength of 175 students. The total fees are 26,630 rupees per year. This includes all the tuition fees, special fees, and van fees. Scholarships are available for various categories like OBC, SC, and ST. Also, after 4 years of the course, we have a 1-year internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. They provide a separate academic block, a well-filled library along with a study hall. Classrooms are air-conditioned and provided with smart class facilities. We have a government hostel here with 3 persons per room and a mess with a good menu and affordable rates.
Faculty: Each department has a number of faculty members who are well-experienced. Apart from teaching, they also provide individual mentorship. The curriculum is very good. They also try to keep us interested in the course. The semester exams are good. They contain both subjective and objective questions. We have to get 50% of the total score in order to pass.
Other: I chose this college solely because of my passion and interest. Moreover, the academics and other cultural activities here are very good. Apart from academics, they also provide arts, sports, and other celebrations like Onam, Christmas, etc.

Review of Government Medical College, Thrissur.
Placements: Education is almost free. About 175 students can take admission here. All of them will get jobs. It is a top college in Kerala. There will be no tension about going jobless. We should write the NEET exam and have a good score to get admission.
Infrastructure: The college and course offer good education facilities and infrastructure. There is Wi-Fi in hostel. Labs are neat and clean and help to practice a lot. Classrooms are good with proper facilities. the library is useful for studying; all students go to the library for reference.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They are all well qualified and have good knowledge. They teach through PowerPoint and lectures but for us, all the classes are boring. The course is now modified; details will be announced during admission. The exam will be tough but we can manage to pass it all.

I am satisfied with academics, campus life, and infrastructure.
Placements: Students got placements through counseling which is conducted by MCC. After 4 years of the MBBS course, every student has to do one year of internship in the hospital.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. A new building has been built with all departments. There is a central library and reading room with a strong Wi-Fi connection. Classrooms are spacious with great ventilation. Our canteen is not much spacious. We have an indoor stadium for basketball and badminton. The hostel facilities are average.
Faculty: MBBS is a very difficult course. You have to cover a vast topic. Our college conducts frequent examinations to keep up the studies along with the classes. Teachers are qualified and always available to us. We get enough time to prepare for examinations. Our chapters will get finished early. The pass percentage is more than 75%.
Other: Students must score above 630 in NEET general category to join this college. I am not satisfied with our college location.

Journey and rise of a doctor.
Placements: I think that more than our direct senior two batches, we were very good at academics. Many of my friends and batchmates were the ones in top ranks of entrance exams. They created a high competition for other batchmates and succeeded in bringing everyone to a top level of academics.
Infrastructure: Hostel was maintained professionally. It has many blocks and two buildings for boys and many buildings for girls hostel. Each block has a 5g WIFI connection. Mess was good and clean. They cleaned and maintained it hygienically. And seniors were the mess secretaries. So they took care of it. The food and stuffs were great.
Faculty: Teachers were my first strength. You all know that medical life especially the first year is hard. The year which we first came to the college, teachers welcomed us. They taught in a way like they care for each students. Many of them connected personally and were very helpful for studies and as a life guide providing advices to thrive through this journey.
Other: The college was always on with many colourful events and all batches participated in it making all that memorable.

Good academics, gives equal importance for arts and sports.
Placements: Its an MBBS course, there are no placements. Ofcourse at the end of the course we become house surgeons and get stipend of 30k per month, after which we go for higher studies. Since the degree itself is a very prestigious one as its not easy to complete the course, everyone ends up reaching a good position later in life.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are really strict regarding academics. The labs are well-equipped, hospital has plenty of classrooms in each department, many of the departments have AC classroom. The hostels are very aberage though, provided its a government college. The highlight of the college is the indoor bb court.
Faculty: All the professors are very well qualified snd hughly academic. They always encourage learning and teaching. Semester exams are pretty standard to prepare us for the university exams and other PG exams. The course curriculum currently is competency based to help make us the country? S competent doctors.
Other: Obviously, since it is a very noble and respectful professions. Events, fest, campus crowd, are pretty good. Arts and sports both taken equally important and the college has won many intercollegiate competitions.
