About life in Government Polytechnic, Mumbai.
Placements: There are around 40–45 students each year. We mostly have internship placements for a certain duration. Around 80% of students in my class get internships through the college. They explain theory really well. The AIML and Computer branches have hackathons arranged, which can be a great experience.
Infrastructure: They have Wi-Fi, and the quality of food available in the canteen is average. They have a nice ground for playing. The library has a wide range of books. If any book is needed, you can request it, and they will make sure it is available. The infrastructure is being renovated right now, so it will be better for upcoming batches.
Faculty: The curriculum is relevant to the course. Teachers are helpful and qualified. The exams are difficult, but we get practice papers from previous year students. There are high chances of scoring well in the viva and unit tests. Subjects like Business Communication help in building confidence along with teaching subject knowledge.
Other: I wish there were more real-life problems to solve instead of focusing only on theory.

Overall, experience is good but it is not a regretful decision.
Placements: About 20% of students are placed. Most others have to find their internships on their own. The highest salary is Rs 15,000 per month but it is not referred to by the college or by any top recruitment company. Roles offered are full-stack developer, social media page handler, etc.
Infrastructure: Labs are good. Computers are not that good but they are working fine for coding, as for practical subject, the environment is clean and tidy. As for hostel, it is under construction so it will be made in 1 or 1.5 years so it will be available in 2 years.
Faculty: Faculty behaviour is good. They are friendly and they explain well but right now there is shortage of teachers. There is no temporary staff in college because they are removed. Due to that, there is a lot of pressure on teachers as well as students so there has to be self-study.

I am very thankful to this college as I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience from here.
Placements: 90 percent of students got placed from this course. The highest salary is Rs. 20,000, the lowest is Rs. 7,000, and the average salary is Rs. 12,000 offered in our course. Top recruiting companies are not there. We got placed at the startup. Only 96 percent of students got internships from our course, and in different companies, the top roles offered are for software testers and web developers.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure provided by our department are very good. They provided us with labs for practical performance, and Wi-Fi is also available. Classrooms are available with good facilities. I didn't have any idea about the facilities of the hostel, but the college cafeteria is good, and the food is also nice.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is very good and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant and is also beneficial to the students to gain industry-level knowledge. The exams were not much different as all the questions are curriculum-related only, and the passing percentage is 98 percent.
Other: I chose this course because it gives me knowledge regarding the IT field, and the best thing about this course was the teaching content. I wish to improve at focusing on practical knowledge more than theoretical content. The events are also continuing at our college, and a scholarship is also provided, which is very helpful.

Study is good, all the best for your journey in our college, keep growing, students.
Placements: This college placement is good. I was also placed at Mahindra company for post of Production Engineer. Good placement and contacts of this college. Computer courses, machine workshop, computer lab, chemistry lab, physics lab, sports ground and many types of machines are available in this campus.
Infrastructure: Bad conditions of all those things. Classroom, benches, and washrooms are so dirty, Wi-Fi is not available, there is no canteen in this college, labs are broken, there are no medical facilities in this college, there is only one box on name of medical facilities.
Faculty: Only 1 teacher is helpful and provides full support, and all are *******. Patil sir is so knowledgeable person, good communication skills, how to treat student. Good industrial training is also given in this college. 85 to 90 percent students pass.
Other: Study is good, but surrounding environment is dirty.

Review of Government Polytechnic, Mumbai.
Placements: 35% of students get placed in companies like Tata, TVS, Honda, Bajaj Auto, etc. 60 of students get placed in local MIDC industries in Butibori like CEAT, Indorama, etc. Bajaj Auto and Tata Motors are top recruiting companies for our course. Around 45% of students got internships at Tata, Bajaj, Maruti, and Honda in the mechanical engineering course. The role offered in our course is a trainee diploma engineer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available for students, and it is only for staff members. Labs are available for students for practical knowledge. Classrooms are available. The library is available and very good. The hostel is decent. There is no kitchen in the hostel. The quality of food is not good. Medical facilities are not available. Sports and games are not available here.
Faculty: Teachers are good and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and good to make students industry-ready. Semester exams in college are very difficult.
Other: I like the mechanical engineering course, so I chose it. Staff members should technique for studying. No events are organised. The campus is spread over 6 acres.

I am satisfied with the college.
Placements: It is a decent percentage and above 60% of students get placed. Mostly, students get placed in the computer department, and some from IT and AI. The package ranges between 3-5 LPA. Companies like TCS and Cognizant visit the college for placements. 60% of students get internships in TCS and Cognizant. Top roles like data analyst and full stack developer are offered to students.
Infrastructure: The campus is very vast with each department having its own building mostly. Classes and Wi-Fi are decent. Labs are a bit worn down. The canteen and sports are very good. The ground is of a decent size to play in but there is not so much for indoor games. I did not use the hostel so I cannot say much about that.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly qualified but just above average in teaching. But I did understand what was taught so can't complain. The course curriculum is very relevant and very useful in terms of IRL use. It gave a starting point to the students for companies. The pass percentage is definitely more than average. Exams are fairly easy.

While there isn't a fixed cutoff percentage for SSC marks, a strong score like 86% increases your chances.

With this score in your SSC, you have a good chance of getting admission to Government Polytechnic Mumbai for a Diploma program, as it's a reputable institute and 86% is a very good score.
