Q:   Are there any PGs and hostels available close to Heritage Institute of Technology?
A:
The closest PG available to Heritage Institute of Technology is R-Mondal's Boys' Hostel which is 1-2min walking distance from the college GATE. There is another hostel named MPC which is also near college GATE just 2-3min walking distance. Now most of the boys go to Modern Boys' Hostel which is 10-15 mins walk from college. Also, you can go to RR Plot which is also famous among the college students. RR Plot is a bit far from college, but it is good if you want groceries and other things nearby.

Just an average college but you can join.

Faculty: For each class, the faculty-to-student ratio is 1:60. Faculty-student relations are quite good, and teachers are very approachable in terms of research or industry support. Teaching methods can be improved and advanced by not just reading from PPTs, but also letting students face the industry more. Suprose tests are held throughout the semester. Practical exams happen before theory. End-of-semester theory exams are held in May and December every year.

Overall review of my college.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. If you can't understand Bangla, then you will face a little difficulty, but not much. Exams are not tough. You can do well in exams by just studying for 1 week or so. In 1st year, most of the things that they are going to teach you won't make you industry-ready, but they are important for your fundamentals.

Review of Heritage Institute of Technology.

Faculty: Faculty members are good and very helpful. The course curriculum for college students is not good. Everything should be done on our own. Exams are good and are held after 6 months every year as a semester. The paper is not very tough. They are easy and are from PYQs. The availability of courses is pretty good. There are so many courses.

Average placements and bad campus life. No fests are conducted.

Faculty: Many students find that teachers are not so helpful, supportive, and are not able to explain concepts clearly. They are approachable before exams as they give some topics and sample papers. We only pass exams and gain no knowledge. Some students mention language barriers (teachers using Bengali in class).

I am satisfied with the good environment and faculty members.

Faculty: I am a first-semester student. So I have no idea about the semester exams, but as per seniors, it is approximately between medium and hard. If anyone pushes themselves, then they can achieve whatever they want. The college provides everything that they need. It's upon them. I don't know much about our core faculty members, but as per my experience, some faculty members whom I got during my first semester are really good, and some are really inexperienced.

I am moderately satisfied with the infrastructure.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are knowledgeable and well-qualified for their teaching. The teaching quality is very sufficient. The course curriculum is relevant, but as this is my first year, I don't know whether it can make students industry-ready or not. For me, semester exams are not that difficult, but I don't know about others. I am in the first year, so I don't know the pass percentage. Faculty members are good, and I am satisfied with them.

The best thing about the college is teachers who support us in everything.

Faculty: Teachers are really good and supportive. They are always ready to help us. They even provide their personal number and are always ready for revision classes. Semester exams are not that tough. The pass percentage is 75 percent or above. Surprise tests are conducted, so if we miss the college, the test is missed. If we are not able to give some practical exams, then we can inform the college, and they will help us with it and retake our exam. Faculty members are highly qualified and helpful for c...

In short, if students want to do a master's, then they should join this college.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. Many teachers are PhD holders, and many are post-graduates from universities such as Jadavpur University and Calcutta University. Senior teachers who are HODs are well-qualified from IIT and IIM. The first year courses are basic engineering, and they do not have such an impact on industrial growth, but from the second year onwards, subjects that are made to study in college are totally for our placements and industrial growth. It's quite difficult to pass...

The Heritage Institute Of Technology review and summary about the college all total.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and help you in your studies if you reach out, but I prefer studying online. The course doesn't prepare the students for the industry, but I don't think it's just this college. It's the fault of the entire education system. The semester exams are not that difficult, and you can pass and get a good CGPA easily. The thing is, you will get time here to develop yourself, as you are given time for that. You don't need to spend your entire day in college, and that is amazin...

It's okay to get admitted here if other options are close.

Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, with decent teaching quality. The curriculum is good and builds the fundamentals required for exams like GATE and is a minimum for skill building, though industry readiness depends on the individual. However, building skills is motivated here. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty. You can ask teachers questions whenever needed.

Overall a decent private college.

Faculty: The faculty are good. We could learn if we pay attention. The curriculum is also good. The lab assistants are helpful and answer any questions we have for them. Exams are not that hard and can be cleared with 1–2 weeks of preparation only, and the syllabus is also not huge.

It’s an average college, means a decent amount of hard work can get you a placement.

Faculty: Some teachers’ teaching style is good, and some are very bad, which means a mixed type of faculty is there. Some talk politely only in Bengali. Some teachers’ Bengali accent is very difficult to understand sometimes, which makes it hard for outsiders, although the teaching language is English.

In the first semester, I had high expectations from the college.

Faculty: Some of the faculty members are really very good. But the main problem is many of the faculty members speak Bengali 70 percent of the time, which makes it difficult for other state students to understand. Also, if some student is participating or representing the college in some event, and there is a class test, the teacher would not listen to you and would just take the class test (personally I have experienced this).

Review of Heritage Institute of Technology.

Faculty: Almost all faculty members are very helpful, though exceptions exist everywhere. You need to interact actively with the faculty to benefit fully. The curriculum is similar to that of other B. Tech colleges, but you get enough time to focus on developing additional skills, which makes this college a better choice compared to many other private colleges. Also, there is no uniform.

The college is good enough, but the placements are not as good as you might expect.

Faculty: We have good faculty, but you might face some difficulty if you are not from West Bengal. The faculty members are very supportive and may sometimes teach in Bengali, but you can communicate with them in English if needed. Exams are conducted on a very regular basis.
