Yes, HGPI offers lateral entry to BTech programme. Aspirants who have passed Diploma from a recognised board or university or equivalent with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for candidates belonging to reserved category) can apply for lateral entry.

Candidates need to fulfil the merit requriements to get a seat in HGPI. The institute accepts national or state-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, HPCET, HPU MAT, CAT, MAT, etc. for admission to a few courses. For most of the courses, selection is merit-based.
