B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2023

Our college has very good infrastructure and facilities but the placements was average.
Placements: Around 30% of students were placed. The average salary package is 6 LPA. Around 20% are offered internships. The top roles were site engineer, a survey of the land, etc.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure was very good with more than 100 classrooms. Library was very nice to study with much silence. Hostel has a very nice infrastructure and washrooms with a good infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, friendly, and very good at teaching techniques. Semester exams are very difficult because they are very strict.

I am not satisfied with its placements.
Placements: Placements in this college are more for CSE and ECE than EEE, mechanical and civil is taken into consideration. There is very less scope getting placements in the civil department in our college. Around 30% of students get placed in this college. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. The medium salary package offered ranges from 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Recruiting companies are Wipro, IBM, Oracle, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is clean and good. The students who are traveling by public transportation, and they have to walk nearly 1 km to reach the college from the main gate to the campus of this college every day. Laboratories are good and there is no Wi-Fi connection on the campus. The library is good it has standard books but very less books and materials are available for the civil department. There is no encouragement in sports and cultural activities also.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are good in this college, they are student supportive and helpful, but most of them are not good in way of explaining, conveying the topic is not good. Most of the faculty members are not qualified, and very few are acceptable. The semester exams are average.

I am absolutely satisfied, and this college is perfectly recommended.
Placements: About 70% of students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The maximum number of students did internships, and the role provided was project lead. Our college provides awesome management skills. All students got placements. Top recruiting companies here are Wipro, Sysplan, Infoeconnect, Gayatri Construction and Aparna Constructions.
Infrastructure: There is a library, Wi-Fi, good classrooms, excellent laboratories, sports complex, excellent ground and spacious auditorium. Staff members encourage students to participate in all tournaments at the national and international levels. There is a separate medical room and sick room. The infrastructure is awesome.
Faculty: Teachers here are good and helpful to all students. They all follow syllabus copy, and the curriculum is significant. Semester exams are usually challenging. The pass percentage is as usual for all students, but students must maintain an attendance percentage of 75%. Otherwise, you will be detained.
Other: I chose this course as I have a lot of interest in this particular course. I want that there should be changes in the education system. There is no need for improvement in my course.

It is a below-average college. I am fully disappointed due to poor teaching and lack of faculty.
Placements: Our college does not provide placements in the civil branch. It does not conduct a placement drive. From the ECE department, many students get placed, and they get a salary that ranges from 4-5 LPA. For the last few years, it does not provide a single placement in the civil engineering department.
Infrastructure: Overall, the view of college is good. Labs are not bad. There is no Wi-Fi facility in the college. The library is good, and it provides maximum materials. Sports are given less priority. The canteen is just for look purpose, and it will look bad. Classrooms are clean, but there is no projector facility in classrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members teaching is average. They keep maximum efforts to help students in all things, but students cannot get knowledge as required in B.Tech. The pass percentage is about 70%. But students will feel somewhere bad for studying in this college.
Other: I have chosen this course because civil engineers create a good world and can develop the world. There is plenty of opportunities outside for this course. Our college organised only one fest in my 4 years of a B.Tech career in this college. Scholarships are provided by the college. Our college does not conduct extracurricular activities.

I am satisfied because of good faculty members and placements.
Placements: Around 70 to 85% of students get placed from our college. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 8,000 per month and the average salary offered was Rs. 12,000 per month. The highest salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month. Top companies like Tech Mahendra, Medha, etc., visit our campus for recruitment. Designing in auto cad was the role offered. IN our course, the highest salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the lowest salary offered was 2 LPA. The average salary offered was 4 LPA. Almost 70 to 80% of students got an internship from our course.
Infrastructure: The central library is recently established in our college. Good water facility is provided to students. A projector is available in every class. Neatness is maintained on the entire campus. The food served in the hostel is of good quality. In the canteen, all the items like snacks, lunch, meals, etc., are available. We also have a cricket ground and volleyball court. Indoor games such as chess, carrom, etc., are also available.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful to students. They are qualified and good knowledgable persons. They are also holding their PhDs. The quality of teaching is good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Even faculty members are skilled to train students for industry.

Overall, it is a good college with good environment and faculty.
Placements: There were enough placements for our seniors. Around 80% of my seniors got placed in campus recruitment. The average salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month. Almost 90% of students got the internship from college. The companies offered two years internship with an average stipend. There is a placement cell in the college, and it is very useful.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is provided to students. Labs and classrooms are good enough. There is a central library in the college. Facilities of sports and games are excellent. All the classrooms and labs are well-designed. Hygienic food is available in the canteen. I haven't faced any issues related to the infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers in the college are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. Every semester, students get industry exposure. Student to teacher ratio is 40:1. They use different teaching methods to teach.
Other: Events and fests were the biggest reasons I joined this college. There give sufficient time for students to participate in events. This college is located in a pleasant environment.

The college is good, but the management is money minded.
Placements: The placements are bad. I had not seen any placements when I was studying, but I hope the things have got changed. Except for Genpact, the other 1 or 2 companies came for the campus recruitment are small companies, but you will have to pay money to the college to attend those drives. Now things may have changed, but the chances are very less.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, and students travelling by local transport should walk 1 kilometre up and 1 kilometre down every day from the main gate of the college. The labs are good. When we come to the library, few books are available for civil engineering to refer. I don't believe in providing the free hostel facility. I was a victim of such schemes. There is no encouragement in sports. Be careful if you are not attending the classes regularly, your father pockets will get empty twice in a year.
Faculty: For civil engineering, when I was studying, I mainly depended upon video lectures of IIT professors which are available in the central library of the college. There is no industry exposure at all. The teachers do not complete the full syllabus on time. When I was studying, they did not open the total station apparatus from the box for four years. I went out and learned it with my own money.
Other: For each fest, they will collect money a minimum of Rs.500. For the students who are studying with reimbursement scheme, it will be an overburden for them. There are only 2 buses available in morning from Uppal. We lost my friend in a road accident because of less RTC buses. There is no support available from the college for providing RTC buses. Do not believe in providing of free transportation by the college.

Absolutely dissatisfied beacuse of college administration, faculty and placements
Placements: There were no placements in our college, especially for the civil engineering students. In our whole batch of 2015, CSE had the campus placements that too at very low packages as the highest was something around 2 lakhs/annum. Coming to the civil engineering, there were no placements from the date of college commencement till now.
Infrastructure: First of all, the college is situated very far from the city. Apart from that, the college looks nice in infrastructure i.e the admission block and the HITS college block. The rest of the college is somewhat average. Coming to the labs, there was equipment available but they are of old models and some of them do not work properly. For our batch, labs are the only things which were conducted properly here.
Faculty: The faculty members of this college are not permanent. We hardly see them for a month and they keep on changing. We cannot simply blame them as our college administration does not pay salaries to them monthly. Once in three months, they will be getting salary after doing a strike. Coming to the experience of faculty, most of them are B.Tech graduates and that too from a normal college, so we cannot expect much more from them. There was a time in our college, where only one faculty member used to teach all the subjects to us, including the labs.
Other: At the time of joining the college i.e during admissions, the college administration told that our college has an experienced faculty team, we provide placements, industry exposure etc. After joining we came to know that the college is more focussed on collecting the fee, and how to take extra money from the students' pockets by introducing various types of fines. There will be no response from the college administration if we give a complaint regarding the lack of faculty members. The administration people do not know how to behave with the college students and they will be always harsh towards the students if they go there for certain information. There are many issues in the college still.
