MAKAUT CET or MAKAUT Common Entrance Test (CET) is an all-India level examination for admission to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and its affiliated colleges. It is conducted for admission to over 100 non-AICTE UG and PG courses, that cover BBA, BCA, BSc, MSc, BTTM, MTTM, and others. CET Board, constituted by MAKAUT, is resposible for conducting and releasing the results for CET every year.

Candidates who have qualified in Class 12 or equivalent are eligible to apply for UG courses offered through MAKAUT CET. Whereas, PG course aspirants need an honours degree or should have completed a course having 140 credit points for a relevant subject.

IBMR - Institute of Business Management and Research offers entrance-based admission to its MBA course. Candidates can apply with a valid score of CAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ JEMAT. Besides, candidates also have to pass the GDPI round. For eligibility, it is important to hold a UG degree in any discipline passed from a recognised university.

Candidates have to provide original documents at the time of IBMR Kolkata MBA admission. These documents are required for verification purposes. The important documents are mentioned below:

• Class 10, Class 12, and UG degree pass certificate
• Scorecard of JEMAT/ MAT/ CAT/ CMAT
• 3 Passport-size photograph

After CMAT result has been declared, colleges accepting the exam score for MBA/PGDM admission will start the selection process. CMAT qualifying students will be required to fill the application forms of their target MBA colleges for admission. Colleges will select students on the basis of CMAT cut offs, and then will conduct GD/PI round for final selection. 

CAT registrations generally start from the month of Aug. Candidates wanting to get into IBMR MBA course can apply with a valid CAT score. The application window closes by Sep. Both the applications for CAT exam and IBMR Kolkata MBA course are separate. 

Candidates have to pay an admission booking amount of INR 10,000 for MBA at IBMR - Institute of Business Management and Research. This fee amount is non-refundable. It is to be paid out of the total admission fees as per fee structure of PG course. This fee amount is as per official sources. Hence, is indicative.

The placement process followed at IBMR is mentioned below:

Career Development Centre: various career development training, Group Discussions, Presentation Skill, Seminars, workshops, soft skills, personality development programme to make ready for corporate industry.

Industrial Visit: Regular visit to the Industry in both the Manufacturing Sector as well as the Services Sector are arranged for the students.

Pre-Placement Talk: Companies visit the campus before the placement season begins for a pre placement talk and introduce the job profiles of company.

Interview Preparation: Expert sessions are conducted for Professional Resume Building and Group Discussion Preparation. Mock processes are conducted to prepare students for Aptitude, Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.

Internship & Project Work: The students are placed in different organizations for a period of about 60 days on a specific assignment. 

Interviews & Final Selection: Companies visit the campus on the allotted date (s) and conduct tests and/or interviews according to their selection procedure.
