Industry-focused VFX course.
Placements: In the 2022–25 VFX batch, 85% of students are placed. The highest package is 9 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and the average is 5 LPA. The top recruiters include MPC, DNEG, and Technicolor. Around 90% of students get internships at studios like Framestore and Red Chillies. Offered roles include Compositing Artist and FX Artist. Many students from the 2021–24 VFX batch also get freelance opportunities.
Infrastructure: The VFX department has modern labs, high-end systems, Wi-Fi, green screens, and access to a media library. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. Hostels are clean, with Wi-Fi and good security. The mess food is not very good but is okay. The medical aid, sports ground, and indoor games are well maintained.
Faculty: Faculty members are skilled and supportive, with strong industry knowledge. The curriculum is up-to-date and industry-oriented, covering VFX fundamentals to advanced techniques. Exams are moderate and mostly project-based. The pass rate is 90%, with a focus on practical learning.
Other: I chose VFX for my creative passion and its industry scope. The college hosts great fests, has a diverse crowd, and offers a good campus vibe.

I'm having a really bad experience and I'm regretting joining this college.
Placements: Our senior didn't get any placement opportunity, despite our college claiming to give 100% placement. However, their terms say that we need to have an average of above 75% score in exams, but no one scores near 75%. They say that students should not fail in any subject, but they intentionally fail students at least once to avoid committing to job placements. If any student gets a job, the college pays them to say he/she got the job because of the college.
Infrastructure: College don't have their own hostel, they outsource hostels and it is really bad. As for the courses, they only teach what they choose, and then expect students to know everything. They have different courses but they teach the same stuff. The college takes money for almost everything, even for non-important facilities, and always finds a way to take as much money as possible from students.
Faculty: We are supposed to write exams in Chennai and the college doesn't support it even a bit. Sometimes we have to stay in Chennai for almost 10 days and we have to pay for all expenses by ourselves. They don't teach anything for exams instead, provide a PDF at the last minute to study and pass.
Other: There is nothing good about this college or courses they provides. They provide a collaboration programme from a university in Chennai and I have also heard students say that the degree they give has no value.

Our college has a good environment for studying.
Placements: About 40% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. The top recruiting company was TCS. About 40% of students got internships from our college. The top role offered was a graphic designer.
Infrastructure: Our college was Wi-Fi enabled. A library, a mess, and labs were available in our college. Our college had not provided a hostel facility. The food served in the mess was good.
Faculty: Our teachers were very helpful. They provided us with all information. our course curriculum made students industry-ready. Semester exams were moderate. The pass percentage was 40%.
Other: I opted for this course because I am very interested in doing photoshop. The fee structure is affordable. Our college conducts many extracurricular activities.

Best college for Visual Effects, good placements, average or below average infrastructure.
Placements: 100 per cent of my seniors have got placements in good company with good starting salaries. There's only one package for the course. You can get placed in top companies like Technicolor, Accenture, Xentrix Studio. About 60% of my seniors got internships in their second year (third semester). Top roles include VFX supervisor, VFX producer and senior VFX artist.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. The hallway to your classes are very small compared to other colleges and can get crowded during big events. Classrooms are very good, all rooms have A/C. Few classrooms also have Macs. You have Wi-Fi for each class/department. The canteen is on the topmost floor or terrace, you can get all the basic eatables there. The library is also good you can get all books related to your course there. There's a ground in front of the college where you can play outdoor games. There are also indoor games like video game competitions and dance.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. They teach very good and are there to help you. The course is relevant and is updated to date which make the students more than industry-ready. The course practical exams are very easy but the RVJs are really annoying. The theory exams are written exams and it's not that difficult to study. The pass percentage for the theory exam is 40 %. .

ICAT is a good college to learn digital media like VFX and animation.
Placements: I already got a job while I'm in the 3rd year. It's a good college to learn VFX and animation. Teachers in our college are good. You will get placements all over India. If you work hard, then you can try abroad also. ICAT has branches in Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.
Infrastructure: ICAT has a good infrastructure. In Bangalore, it is situated in hour main road, near BTM layout and Madivala. ICAT has Wi-Fi with high-speed and classroom are fully air-conditioned. We have a big library with various books and digital media. We have a VFX green screen room in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are very cooperative and talented. They guide the students in a proper way. You will get a good exposure of your subject. They teach software as well as basic things of design. We have good a projector in every class which helps you to understand the topic more perfectly.
Other: Most of the festivals in India like Onam, Christmas etc., are celebrated in our college.

Okay for the degree, but needs to improve on content delivery.
Placements: It was good that I got few calls from companies around Bangalore. I work for a different company near my hometown now. My seniors are also working well in different companies, and the placement department is really supportive for the placements even after the first job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay. The gaming lounge and the labs are really sufficient. The classrooms are air-conditioned and well-maintained. There is also sufficient recreational facilities including a play station and Xbox for the students to have a really good time. The library has sufficient books on all topics. Also, the faculty sometimes fails to inform about exams on time and at times taking the Indian University students for second.
Faculty: My course was based on BCU curriculum which was good and up to the industry standards, but I failed to notice that during my time, I was happy that I learned from this type of curriculum. Written exams are really nice and refreshing. The faculty members were okay but at some points failed to give a good impression of the topic they were covering.
Other: The campus is really close to the road and quite small. The campus life is nil, but this college was a really good place to find many friends with the same wavelength.

A design college for everyone.
Placements: I am still studying so I don't know much about the placements. But talking about my seniors, each one of them have been placed in companies which suits them the best. Many popular companies, as well as average companies, come to our college, the good part is we can attend the interviews and find out. Gain experience with interviews and being more confident when the company you desire comes to college. Our faculty makes sure our portfolios are based on the field we're choosing to enter. The salary starts from 15,000 and goes up to 35,000+ rupees for the starting. Then the salary is hiked based on our performance or after a certain period. The fact that we have placements and that companies are coming to our college is very useful because then we don't have to go hunting for jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is limited but decent enough for a design school. Seems more like an MNC than a college. But it's pretty good. The facilities and the classrooms are good. We have plug points to help us charge our laptops, phones and cameras. The campus is good enough but could be better. The Wi-Fi connection is good throughout the building and we can access the Wi-Fi all around. The library is another useful place, the books are quite useful, petty much have all the books required for our studies.
Faculty: The faculty members of our course that is B.Sc in multimedia are good at teaching and they are cooperative with you. They understand your learning speed. And if necessary, they explain and make sure you understand the topic. Each faculty is good with their subjects. There are some faculty members who have a problem with communication but that's alright, we understand! The course is interesting, I would suggest people who don't like studying much and people who can't focus in theory can pick this course. The course I'm in teaches you a bit of everything in the field now. And by the end of the third year, you'll be sure of what you want to do in which career direction you choose to go.

A review on ICAT Design and Media College.
Placements: Our placements are yet to be started. All our seniors got placed in good companies. In my class, all students got an internship, that is also provided by the college. The minimum of 18k salary is offered. 30k is the highest, they offered for 2 students. They'll offer salary based on the portfolio and our work.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good. A minimum of 5 systems will be there in every classroom. A/C is available in every classroom. The game lab, VFX lab, and multimedia labs are there in this college. All the students can avail the free Wi-Fi provided by the college for educational purposes. The canteen also provides good food for faculty members and students.
Faculty: Our faculty members are very helpful with projects and classes. The teaching quality is very good. They're too helpful. They'll try to finish all the subjects before the exams. And, they'll revise all the subjects during exam times. They'll also help us by giving model question papers with answers.
